January 10, 200818 yr Author Windsor, Canada is a blast!:ylsuper: Thats where I'm going , if your just driving across do you need a passport or just like drivers license and birth cert?
January 10, 200818 yr Thats where I'm going , if your just driving across do you need a passport or just like drivers license and birth cert? You don't have to have a passport to go to Canada. But if you want to come back to the U.S., you better have a passport. The new law was effective Jan 1.
January 10, 200818 yr Thats where I'm going , if your just driving across do you need a passport or just like drivers license and birth cert? Havent been there since '03. Leaving the Canada and coming back to the usa, they didnt even ask for an id, just looked inside the car. I think you need a passport now though.
January 10, 200818 yr You may need a friend of a friend in a congressman's office. I have heard some horror stories on getting these timely! Good luck.
January 11, 200818 yr I flew to Toronto a few years ago. All I needed then was a birth certificate and a drivers' license to get into Canada. Coming back to the U.S., the customs lines were much longer and the drug dogs all walked around your luggage. That was first for me. You do need a passport to leave and re-enter the country now.
