10th Region Freshman

Featured Replies

The question of the King twins not being true freshman is ridiculous. I know their dad, we both were in school together and those boys had to face the same question when they were in middle school, somethings just don't die easy. Once and for all, just leave this alone.

I'm repeating a point made on another thread; but as long as they don't turn 19 before August of their senior year, there should be nothing to worry about.:thumb:

Why does everyone always want to question the King twins age? They are 15 years old and will be 15 the entire basketball season. I'm pretty sure Mason Co. has some Freshman that have been held back. But yet we don't hear much fuss over that. The Stenzel kid from Clark Co. was held back. But we don't hear much fuss over that either.

To the person who keeps harping on who is or is not a "holdback"... you dont know the rules. As long as a player turns 19 after August 1 of his senior year, he/she is eligible to play. If your little Johnny is playing against kids who are a year older, its the you the parents' fault for not giving your kid the best oppurtunity available. Besides the strength and mental confidence that the extra year gives a kid, why not try to keep your child at home one more year before he/ she heads out into the college world? The extra year of maturity and guidance from home , is invaluable.

Am pretty sure the King twins have been held back a year like Stenzel,Setty and others. This has never bothered me at all and is not a big deal. All of these boys will be 15 throughout the school year and will probably turn 16 in the summer. So realistically they will be driving before they start their sophomore years and will graduate at 18 and a half if you will, not a big deal.

I'm pretty sure your WRONG! Once again I will say this they have never been held back and never failed a grade. They are Honor Roll students. All In you can't seem to come to grips that they are good ball players for there age (15 birthday is in April). Kyle and Luke actually played on a AAU team with the Freshmen of Mason Co. (Gilbert, Pawasat, and Setty) which they were the state champions. Any more questions about the KING TWINS you can ask me.

Wasn't one of the twins named MVP of that State Tournament?

So are they 14 now and turn 15 this April? If that's the case then they were never held back. I just read on here that some of Mason's freshman will turn 16 over the summer which means that they were held back at some time. I think the Twins are extemely talented and didn't know that they played AAU with some Royals, guess that is where all of the rumors about them transferring may have gotten started.

They are 15 now and will be 16 in April. They were never held back. They started kindergarten at 6 and will graduate at 19. Hope this clarifies things.

They are legit freshman. What more do you need?

I'm a supporter of the Devils and I'm not taking a shot at the Kings. I was just wondering:irked:

Is Cory Rogers a transfer from Fleming County? If so when did this happen? Is he related to some Rogers girls that play for Clark County girls team?

Yes, he is a transfer from Fleming. He transfered at the beginning of the school year im pretty sure. How is he doing? I used to play with him.

There is a set of twins in Falmouth that can hoop pretty good also.

Logan and Tanner Florence along with Michael Walsh who as a freshmen is in his second year of Varsity basketball.

I understand Campbell County has a very good group of freshmen. None contributing at the varsity level, but none are really needed as they have pretty strong junior and sophmore classes.

I agree :thumb: and have watched them play for a couple years.

Campbell does have a very nice freshmen group.

Sounds like it's going to be a loaded region in 2-3 years.:dancingpa
