Fact is Corbin would beat Madison Central at least 75 percent of the time they play. Madison Central as athletic as they are just don't shoot the ball very well. They don't handle the pressure defense very well either.

 

Hate on Corbin all you want. Boone County beat them in the same tournament. Last time I checked Boone County is located further from the 13th Region that Madison Central is. Funny how the officiating didn't affect the outcome of this game. You know what else is funny? There aren't any Corbin fans on here talking about how they were robbed. No sir, I have seen several posts from Corbin fans sending congrats to Boone County though.

I agree, bad officiating is a part of the game, as I said in my previous post. But in this particular game, it was lopsided. It might not have been in the Boone Co. game, I don't know I wasn't there.

 

Central plays in the toughest region in the state, I would hope Corbin would have a better season than them. Corbin is a good team and head and shoulders above anyone in the 13th, especially when Crawford returns, but the 11th region is a totally different animal. I'm just stating what I and many other non-biased fans saw and that was a severely lopsided officiated game in Corbin's favor.

I just watched the game online. Maybe you should check it out. Didn't see that many "lopsided" calls. Saw MC hacking a lot. Reaching in, swatting at balls, and just plain holding the Corbin players. Check it out and then give your opinion instead of all the "unbiased opinions" lol.

 

I think you underestimate the 13th Region as well. Knox Central is very good, Clay County is good, Cumberland is Very good, Middlesboro is good, Pineville is good, Lynn Camp is good, North and South Laurel both have good teams. There are plenty of good teams in the 13th.

I watched the game online into the ealy 4th quarter. I did not see the calls being at all noticably one sided either way. Maybe it all happened late in the 4th. What I thought was most noticable about Madison Central was that they passed the ball very poorly against a not to difficult 2-2-1 press. Too many turnovers due to impatient, ill advised passes.

 

With regard to the MC Coach. If you ever watch him on the sideline you would think that he is never getting any calls. He works the officials like not many others in the state.

Trust me I am not biased. Not towards Corbin anyway. I have friends who are coaches for other teams....some really good and some that are struggling. I have absolutely no ties to Corbin, but I recognize good teams and talent when I see it.

 

Everyone that has watched the game online (with the exception of you of course) seems to have the same opinion as me. I know if the boys from the Southern or Southeastern end of the state beat a team from anywhere else in the state they must have the refs in their pocket. It is the only logical explanation right?

I am not a "Corbin Hater" as you would state. I live 3 hours from here and was in town visiting and decided to watch a game between two good teams. What I saw, IMO, was lopsided officiating. I know alot of people who would agree with that assumption. Corbin is a good team, like I said before. Since you insist on calling me a "Corbin Hater" I can't help but question your fanhood, because you are obviously a Corbin fan stating these comments.

 

The 13th Region is better this year, but like you said, they have plenty of good teams. The 11th have 3 to state title contenders.
