How about the obvious foul on the big kid that they let go...would have been 5! How about the steal Corbin made only to get the whistle called after the fact... Just a few...maybe not enough to make up for all the calls against MC I guess.

I think they should have different region refs for these tournaments so there isn't any eyebrows raised at some of the calls.You definitely shouldn't have 13th region refs when two 13th region teams are hosting it.

Madison Central could compete for the 11th if they had a shooter or two. I've watched them play the last two nights, and haven't noticed anyone who can hit the 3 with any consistency.

Good win for Corbin, the Hounds were terrible from the stripe or this one would have not been close...Give the Manns kid some props for getting the big kids from Central in foul trouble...Good game from Johnson and Cashen came off the bench for some good minutes...

I don't know which foul your talking about for sure,but I do know that both of MC's big guys fouled out against a much smaller Corbin team along with there best point guard and Corbin had none even in foul trouble.

The difference in my opinion was the fact that Madison Central played pressing man-to-man defense the entire night. They also seemed to get away from taking the ball inside after the first quarter.

 

Corbin played zone a majority of the night, which out of character for them by the way. They also took the ball inside on about every possession.

 

Both teams could argue, and if fact did, they were not happy with the calls.

 

I was impressed with Corbin’s team tonight. If they continue to improve and get Josh Crawford back they will be hard to handle.

 

Both teams have a bright season ahead of them.

Yes they did struggle from the stripe.From what I thought was always a good free-throw shooting team.I felt kind of sorry for the little guy at the end of regulation though.

This is still a good win for Corbin against a good team. The Corbin kids really play hard. However, if I was Madison Central and Rockcastle Co. I would seriously reconsider any future plans to play in the Hoopin it Up after the way they were done tonight. It was truly an embarrassment. The one referee everyone is talking about should not be allowed to rob high school kids the way he did tonight.

They must have watched the tape of the GRC Madison Central game. GRC won in OT..We played zone on them all night..it seems to work against them.

Coach Humphery and the Cards are a class bunch. I look forward to following GRC as the season progresses. Granted Mason is very impressive, but the Cards are young and will really get after you on defense.
