Featured Replies

Game is in Hawaii,Whats everybody's thoughts.Should be a tough game for the Royals as Mt. Vernon has won the New York city league 2 straight years and are ranked #15 in the country. There averaging around 90 a game so far.

I love the Royals, but this one is going to be tough and turn around and play the #10 team in the country tomorrow night.

I just hope that my blood pressure can remain under control before and after the tip. :lol:

Who remembers what former UL players are from Mt Vernon,NY?

Rodney Earl McCray! Won a championship with the Cardinals and later with the Chicago Bulls

Anyone have the time for this one???

Should be 8:30 Maysville time, BUT this is the 5th game of the day. So chances are good it might start late.

Undefeated with large margins in victory. :creepy:

I didn't know that link worked. They always say http://www.soft96.com around here.

:lol:

I knew my link "sounded" wrong, I'm fortunate enough to live here in Maysville and don't have to worry about the online site.

Gorton (Yonkers, NY) W 110-50

Mamaroneck (NY) ** W 70-40

Ramapo (Spring Valley, NY) W 100-60

@Roosevelt (Honolulu, HI) (Hawaii) W 96-25

While I can't say how good or bad their opponents have been, they are ranked nationally and have won back to back public state titles in New York for a reason.

I figure they may have their share of cupcakes, but playing in New York, my guess is they see teams like Mason Co all the time. Thankfully the Royals are led by seniors who have been in their fair share of tough games with pretty darn good teams.

On Mt Vernon's website there is a picture of their gym, which looks pretty small, BUT the shocking thing is they sell "season ticket" packages to their home games. They have a platinum package for like 500 dollars which includes 4 tickets to each home game, a sweatshirt or tshirt and here is the shocker, that price gets you a postgame meal with the team after each home game.

Unbelievable, I thought we took our basketball here in the Bluegrass state seriously. :lol:
