Courier Journal video wrap up

Featured Replies

I had not seen this yet. Thanks for the link.

The Courier Journal has a great wrap up of the championships with an interview with Coach Beatty. Check it out. He has very kind words for St X.

I think that is the best interview that I've seen Coach Beatty give, really showing humility. Wes Weitlauf has represented Trinity well for three years and is a super person. He will be missed on the field on a player and off the field as a leader. Coach Beatty kind of paused when talking about 19- could he retire?

Thank you for your kind words. I would like to think the "pause" was maybe for this one to be allowed to "sink in" and savored. Contrary to others, it was no "gift." But hard earned from the BEST - if not co best -TEAM in the State.

Thank-you for the kind words. If you look at most of Coach Beatty's interviews over the past eight seasons you find two themes, first, work hard, if you fall short, work harder to get better and second, never offer excuses. He tends to always measure performance relative to what it could have been. He is still looking for his team to play a perfect game.

As far as retiring, someday he will. It is a tough job. The expectations are high, but I thought after last season he seemed a little tired. This year he just sounded like he wanted to savor the win for a little while and then go back to work. I look for him to retire when he decides that he no longer wants to pursue a perfect game.

As long as Bob has the shot at beating the next greatest team at X he has something too stick around for. Or better yet he likes all the gifts MG keeps giving him and the Trinity team so why leave. enjoy the off season.

Come on, what is he? All of 52 years young. I hope he continues to represent the Trinity family and pile up trophies for a long, long time.

I just try to give a compliment to your coach and this is what you have to say? Thank you 85 and the other 98% of T fans that takes your coach's lead in humility when you win.

JR nice post.....that said from talking with Bob this year, you could feel the fire in his belly for this team.....I know he's going to enjoy this one at least until January 1.....then the drive for #19 starts.......great job coach.

JR If my comment was hurtful toward you I am sorry, my comment was directed at those individuals from your side of the fence that feel it is important to make comments about gifts from Santa. I will follow your lead and refrane from such trivial comments all the best to you and yours. On a side note your son played a great game good luck to him in his future.

Bio- thanks for the words. He had a great season and lots of memories as every T and X player does. I think we can learn alot from the kids that don't seem to take to our level. I attended a predance event last night in Mockingbird Gardens that had a bunch of the X guys, Kamber, Brutscher, Galbraith, Deuce, etc, that also had Will Stein and Scott Radcliff there. These guys get along just fine since most of them went to grade school together and will be friends forever. All in all it had 44 of the best that Trinity, X and Assumption had to offer and all I can say is Will is about a nice of guy that you've ever want your son to be.

Will someone from Trinity please take over getting Stein, Weitlauf, Duttons, etc some scholarship offers? It is hard to believe that no Division 1 team doesn't need their talents.
