I would really like to do some type of classic here in Louisville.

 

I would have T play Highlands and X play TBD?? (on the TBD) it must be a school that draws well. I would also be willing to do a 3rd game as well but have no idea who to invite.

I will help with announcers, and referees and chain crew. I can get Mike Flanders from Shively Sporting goods to help also.

In all due respect to the Guru and BGP, I think we need a deep pockets sponsor( UPS, Humana, etc) unless the Guru is independently wealthy from the photography business. GCL South schools are looking for bigger schools (6A) to play them so they get more computer points.

 

We need to get the sponsorship/support from the Louisville Sports Board for help.

 

When do you want the Lobos to play Lourdes? Bring it on, Bearcats! You better worry about beating St Edwards first!

Why not add some other schools into the mix and just call it a bowl series. I am sure down the road there will be some WKY schools worthy of playing top notch opponents. If we want the state as a whole to be competitive everyone needs to step up their competition. Christian Co. has a really good running back that is a sophmore that is outstanding. Bowling Green has a good team pretty much every year John Hardin was good this year. Owensboro has a freshman group that has only lost 1 game in 3 years and that was to PRP this year. Plus they have a 6'3" QB that is going to be on every college radar in the next year or 2. Maybe do 4 teams X and T HHS and one other and play 4 games. Give some other schools an opportunity to get some exposure most NKY Louisville and Lexington schools get most of the exposure now but there is alot of talent across the state as a whole that would be nice for all the boys. Say Owensboro plays somebody the first year then maybe BG plays the next year and so on. I think you guys are really on to something but you should include a wide variety of teams as say the 4th game or the first game of the day with the 4th game being the highlight game of the Bowl day.

 

Ealry season state finals sort of. You know the teams that are going to be there every year. Highlands, Trinity and X, Male. You know I know there would be so many people that would come to the games if it were that big it might even eventually make ESPN. My brother is a national sports writer for another sport and has a wide range of connections that I would be willing to exploit if there were something in it for Owensboro Schools. To give you a little idea of the people my brother knows last night he called me from Dallas where he was at the Dallas Stars hockey game with Mark Cuban and some of his friends.

 

you guys have some really good ideas and if we could get it at Papa John's that would be awesome give some teams that may not see the red carpet a chance to shine as well especially with all the good big schools in the state.

I would not ask BGP/Guru to financially support this endeavor but to just help promote it. Due to my job I have the connections to get at the bigger companies around Kentuckiana. Also, it only helps to have teams from other areas (NKY/Ohio or Indiana) involved as an added value to a potential sponsor.

It's Ok, I like Nippert, University of Cincy's stadium much better. The atmosphere is much more condusive to High School Football. The facilities are beautiful.
