I doubt we'll have much of an in depth conversation, but I will tell him I'm excited to see what he can get these guys to do. I don't do autograph's, don't really understand them, I'd much rather tell him that, shake his hand and actually interact with him for a minute or two. (And get a picture) I will try and sneak in the toothpick ?. :lol: **I met my favorite player of all time, Johnny Bench, at the airport one time. My wife was bugging me to go get an autograph. I didn't want to bother him too much, but I did go up and shake his hand and tell him I was a big fan, and I know he has a bit of a bad rep, but he put his bags down, seemed suprised that I just wanted to shake his hand, but he looked at me, smiled and said "thanks, I appreciate that." I think they appreciate that much more than someone just hounding them to sign there name and not really care. Just my opinion.

December 8, 200718 yr I went last year, and I'm with LBBC, nothing blew me away. Plus, if you have to pay, they're almost doubling the price to $15 a person this year. I've got my passes sitting here, but I just have no desire to go. The wife wanted me to go up there earlier today while she was working, but I had a better time playing and going to lunch with my little girl. As for the wiffleball, they held the tournment last week I believe, and the final x number of teams play for the championship this weekend. I know the Reds didn't want to hold the tournament again this year, but at the last minute they did. The Community Fund group over at the Reds need to have a weekend tournament each summer to raise money. I've played in numerous tournaments for the American Cancer Society, and we had a blast.

I've had more than my fair share of run-ins with pro athletes both in my professional and private life. While it would be inappropriate to ask for an autograph as Professional Jim Schue, regular-guy Jim Schue doesn't ask for autographs either. Usually I will do the same thing you mentioned -- just say hello, thanks, shake hands, etc. They ALWAYS appreciate that much more.
