December 4, 200718 yr Sounds a little like Maysville... (beg pardon for crashing the party) I'm in Maysville. Or as I refer to it "Mayberry Heckhole" Course, the language I use in person is a tad more harsh. It's a beautiful place to retire and live a relaxing life. BUT if you want to hear people play HT's favorite music from 12 blocks away, gun shots and gang activity, you just need to live elsewhere.
December 4, 200718 yr Something to be said for small-town living. I enjoyed my time in Morehead; a small college town has an awful lot to offer. But it is frustrating to have to drive an hour to get to a town of any size at all.
December 4, 200718 yr ^ I think that is where he is talking about. HC you still doing those podcast? Nopers, I did about 30-35 episodes, kept having problems with my microphone. Trying to get the right sound, I knew I would have to spend money to make it better and just decided to shelf it for now. In the future, it will be something I will look more into.

December 4, 200718 yr And don't get me wrong; I like Maysville, too. Just dread having to spend at least 2 hours round trip to do much of anything...
December 4, 200718 yr You mean they don't listen to country down there? It's like any other major city it just depends where you live. The beaches area tends to be very laid back and relaxing, obviously. The Southside and Northside tend to be more of the FUN parts of town. Westside is all about the country music, the trucks and Skynryd. Which is where a majority of the original band members grew up, on the Westside of Jax I believe.
December 4, 200718 yr You mean they don't listen to country down there? The local (Maysville) radio station is "Soft 96". That ought to tell you something.

December 4, 200718 yr HC, my parents retired to St. Augustine about 23 years ago. I always drove around Jax; never really spent any time in town.
December 4, 200718 yr HC, my parents retired to St. Augustine about 23 years ago. I always drove around Jax; never really spent any time in town. Have lived in Jax off and on since 1990, only went to St Augustine a couple times. My x went to that haunted lighthouse in town that was featured on GhostHunters. I asked if she climbed the stairs to the top and she couldn't stop laughing, SO I'm guessing her answer was no.
December 4, 200718 yr I could play Madden for hours straight. I've never been much into videogames. My daughter - a HS senior, out of the blue says that she wants a PlayStation 2 (not the new one) for Christmas. So she can play Dance Dance Revolution with some of her friends. Have any game suggestions for the old man?
