Miles staying at LSU?

Featured Replies

I still think Mike Trgovac will get a serious look...

Wouldn't be anything more than a stopgap at this point though. Not particularly the direction I had hoped for from UM..........

They will run with any rumor out there...

What was that??

No statement that he had reached an agreement. Just "I have a football game to play. I'm not interested in talking to any other teams at this point."

GT, I'm interested in your thoughts on this........

My gut says LSU has the offer on the table, Miles isn't quite ready to commit...........

Not much of a denial from Miles...

The press conference:

Miles: "There was misinformation on ESPN and I think it's imperative that I straighten it out. I'm the head coach at LSU, I will be the head coach at LSU, I have no interest in talking to anyone else. I have a championship game to play and I'm excited about the opportunity of my "darn" strong football team to play in it. And that's really all I'd like to say. It's unfortunate I had to address my team with this information this morning. With that being done, I think we'll be ready to play. There will be no questions for me; I represent me in this issue, please ask me after. I'm busy. Thank you very much, and have a great day."

Guy to LSU Chancellor: "Are you going to stay and answer questions?"

LSU Chancellor: "What he said."

Don't forget 98... :jump:
Looks like you heard the same info I did. So, if my info was wrong on this one, so was yours.

Only because they have to wait until after Saturday to make it official. I'm hearing he has already told the team at LSU he is leaving...

A few thoughts. It was Herbstreit that reported the story, and it's not often he's wrong. My guess is his sources are pretty close to mine, and the powers that be at Michigan thought (and maybe still think) they have him locked up. As the story goes, UM has a deal in place with the agent. Starting to sound similar to Donovan to UK.

One of the things that had many believing that he was gone was that the LSU Chancellor and AD asked him to state at the SEC Championship presser yesterday that he wasn't going to Michigan, and Miles wouldn't do it.

Sure is going to be an interesting week...

Miles: "There was misinformation on ESPN and I think it's imperative that I straighten it out. I'm the head coach at LSU (today), I will be the head coach at LSU (tonight), I have no interest in talking to anyone else (until tomorrow).

My same thoughts. I am lost on this whole search. I just do not want this to turn into a mess and settle for Ferentz. Untill this latest news I had been hearing he already had his D coordinator in Jon Tenuta.

Trying to take GT down with you, priceless.

I still think he's gone.

But if we heard the same thing and posted about it, don't call me out if you are wrong also.
