Miles staying at LSU?

Featured Replies

This is two days in a row now he could have mentioned Michigan by name and denied interest. Point blank? He didn't...

According to the LSU release, "Miles will not entertain any offer from the University of Michigan to become the Wolverines head coach or from any other institution."

If it was clear cut and dry then surely SOMEONE would get up and say so before the biggest game of the season for LSU. Perfect opportunity to do so, why not take advantage of it?

And your sources have never given you a bum steer? Right ...

So a coach has never told his players he's staying before bolting to a new school? Right...

Paging Mr. Nick Saban........Mr. Saban please report to the office........

UM feels they have a deal in place with his agent. So does LSU. We'll see...

UM representatives never actually spoke to Miles, though. They weren't scheduled to do so until next week.

You really think there has been zero contact between the two sides? His agent was acting on his own free will meeting with the Michigan people? You know how the process works...

Then there's this report in the Detroit News ...

On Wednesday, Michigan athletic director Bill Martin requested and was granted permission by LSU to talk to Miles after the SEC title game. Martin, sources said, never reached out to Miles' agent, George Bass, or Miles. Martin was expected to contact Miles on Sunday.

He didn't have to reach out to Bass. Guess who initiated contact???

Herbie does have some pretty good contacts in the Big 10, you'd agree? So either he got fed a load of bull or one side thinks they have him when they don't. But I'm pretty sure Herbie didn't just make this up........

Just got an IM from a friend:

What a (mess) Herbie has on his hands.

Leave it to UM lackeys to tell an OSU guy something completely wrong.

It is a mess, that's for sure. How wrong it is remains to be seen. However, if we can't beat OSU on the field, I suppose that this might be the next best thing.....

Today's press conference was a delay tactic to get the focus back on today's game. He'll be the next coach at Michigan.
