Trinity's first appearance was 1968. They've appeared in 20 state finals, winning 17 (maybe 18). I guess that means since 1968, every other year Trinity is in the Finals. :scared:

I found that it is not unique. Looking back at the 17 state championships the Birds have won, they have out scored opponents 503-137, (avg score 30-8) pitching five shutouts. A good D for sure!

It was a very good D for sure. A little off thread, but following your post about about Highlands squads that pitched shutouts in the state game: How does this year's version rank with the past Highlands teams as to the fewest points allowed? If my memory serves me correctly, the starting D my senior year (75) only gave up 28 points (8 to Dixie and 20 to Campbell County). The other points were given up by the reserves. How about some numbers on the other good Highlands defenses?

That is interesting. I guess that somewhat throws a wrench in the argument that Highlands is successful because it is able to attract all those studs from throughout the large urban area in N. Ky due to our out of district policy. Do you have a list of the 40? And forgive me for bringing a public private issue into the football forum.
