gold sunrise Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Final...will post more a little later.
mhighfield Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Kinda surprised i thought the Cards would get the W.See ill stick with my preseason predictions of Montgomery being 2 and GRC 3 in the region:D.Hope the Cards rebound quickly.
FANOFTHE11th Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Pretty good game. The Flyers had too many turnovers which forced a closer game. They were up by about as many as 15 at different times in the game but didn't finish the Cards. Both unexperienced teams but the Flyers looked like they were better all-around. If Franklin Co. hits free throws down the stretch and handles the ball a little better they win big. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season.
bigblueinsanity Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Little Shocking..but GRC did lose there big guns last year.
mcpapa Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 A little surprising but not exactly a shocker; Franklin County is in the middle of the pack in the tough 11th Region.
d-dawg Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Little Shocking..but GRC did lose there big guns last year. About 90% of the scoring was lost by graduation. Inexperience is hard to replace but they do have some good young talent. It will just take some playing time .

It will just take some playing time .90% of Franklin County's scoring was lost last year as well. Franklin County isn't exactly an experienced team, there isn't a senior on the team. Four of their players played football and have only been out for less than a week. FC will get much better as will GRC. The point here is, that the 11th is at a different level of competition top to bottom than 14 of the other regions in the state. Franklin County is ranked 11th in the 11th
doomer Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Nice comeback for the young Cards. They could have rolled over, but hit a lot of big threes down the stretch to make a game of it.

If so sorry I didn't get to meet you. Cards just need some experience. We relied heavily on Preston and Tristian last year for points...this year we will need to get more involved on the offensive side. I was impressed with Ryan Williams and Arron Dini last night...both are new to the system this year and both have not been with the team long due to football and soccer. Ryan has great basketball knowledge and sees the open man. Arron is hard nose, love the way he hustles. We started 2 Freshman and 3 Seniors last night. Look for the lineup to change the next few games.
doomer Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 How did the good freshman play? Stenzel? He was dangerous from 3 and was able to drive inside a few times I remember.
oldonetechnique Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Congrats Flyers when is the next home game?
doomer Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Congrats Flyers when is the next home game? Last night @Clark Co. 12/4 @ E. Jessamine 12/7 @ Boyle Co. 12/11 v. Frankfort @ Franklin Co. There it is...only one this year!

Good result for a team with a lack of athleticism and skill.
