Just thought we could have somewhere for me and scarface to talk about the NBA season since no one else cares. :lol: Well Boondock cares a little bit.

I care... Just been too busy to really follow so far early in the season... Great to see the Celtics doing good. I stuck by them for many hard years and it's finally paying off. Yes, they lost tonight... But not even the 96 Bulls were perfect...

I'm on the Magic Bandwagon I like they way that team plays.

I knew 'Shard would be a good pickup, but they're playing better than I thought they would at this point... Dwight Howard is an absolute BEAST. It's hard to look back and think that the Magic almost took Emeka Okafor instead...

Lakers play Boston right now. Great test for the Lakers to see how good they really are. They have been playing good as of late.

They sure did. Boston got out to a big lead early and that was all she wrote. Lakers played good ball in the 2nd half. Still a lot of work left to do in LA.

Celtics and the Suns would be a nice finals match up. K-G vs Amare would be nice to watch.

Seems like we have some NBA interest tonight.

 

 

I really don't understand how this Denver team keeps under achieving with the talent they have. They should be one of the best teams in the West. Karl has done a very poor job with them IMO.

Here are my Top 10 rookies five weeks into the season:

1. Al Horford, Hawks (3)

He's a rebounding machine and is improving while other lottery picks seem to have hit an early wall. While his post moves look mechanical at times, he is a very fluid athlete with great rim-to-rim speed.

 

He's been a pro's pro thus far, showing up for each and every game and doing his job.

 

2. Kevin Durant, Sonics (2)

Almost claimed the No. 1 spot with his terrific effort against the Pacers on Friday. But his following game was a dud -- six points on 12 shots -- which means he has growing to do before he takes the top spot.

 

3. Juan Carlos Navarro, Grizzlies (1)

Currently riding six straight double-figure scoring games -- and hitting 18 of his last 40 3-point attempts -- JC is playing like the veteran we expected to see early on.

 

4. Jamario Moon, Raptors (6)

Moon has become a minutes sponge for the Raps, due to his defense and aggressive work on the boards. And unlike the next guy on this list, he always finds a way to contribute offensively, too.

 

5. Sean Williams, Nets (5)

He's still a factor on the glass, but his energy on defense is down a bit and he's blocked only one shot in the past three games.

 

6. Jared Dudley, Bobcats (NR)

There's no getting around this fact: In two starts, he is averaging 13.5 points and 9.5 rebounds. Please, Coach Vincent, play him more.

 

7. Daequan Cook, Heat (9)

His excellent offensive game has earned him solid rotation minutes in Miami. On another team he'd put up some impressive numbers; he's a pure scorer.

 

8. Joakim Noah, Bulls (10)

Extremely productive as an energy guy, grabbing 14 rebounds in 32 minutes over two games last week. To see him is to believe.

 

9. Yi Jianlian, Bucks (4)

Still slipping, especially inside as a rebounder. Yi seesaws back and forth from an aggressive presence to a floater outside. We'd like to see him engaged in battle a lot more.

 

10. Jeff Green, Sonics (8)

Green produces in every game, but he seems to have caught a little of what ails Durant on offense -- 46 percent of Green's shots have come on jumpers, and he is shooting a mere 32 percent on those shots.

Boston, Orlando & Detroit in the East & Spurs and Suns in the West. Everybody else take a back seat.

It's hard to argue against Durant, he's a rookie and the best player on his team.
