My sources tell me no, and they are pretty good sources.

My opinion...hire someone with NO ties or obligations to Harlan County.

 

We need to start fresh and give ALL kids in the county a fair shot at playing time.

I think he is really focused on turning Whitley around. Expect big things from Jim Black next year. As for the Harlan Co. job, I keep hearing about Coach Woolum.

Yes, I do. This coach can not come the current Harlan co. coaches. The only coach that should even be slightly considered is J.B.. Other than that, it would become a big mess.

Seems petty to me. It eliminates Coach Reynolds and some other fine coaches with ties to the various schools. Do you really think a coach would play favorites when he has the opportunity to build a sort of three-school all star team? Personally, I would be so happy to have my pick of so much talent it wouldn't matter at all which of the three schools they came from.

Yes, it absolutely matters. It matters to the individual schools and to the people of Harlan County.

 

Head Coach from outside of the county with no ties....hire the coaches from each school as assistants...

I expect most of the coaches to be someone not currently coaching in the county, but I doubt any coach would be prejudiced against one group of players over another. Every coach I've met wants to win and plays the best players. The fans are the ones worried about where someone is from, not the coaches.

No....there's no prejudice in Harlan County...

Do you know any coaches who don't play the best players because they are prejudiced against them?
