Trinity 63 Ballard 14 (6A)

Featured Replies

Trinity came out firing on all cylinders leading 35-0 after 1, and 49-7 at the half. William was 15-17, for 215 yards, and 5 td's......Superman ran for 122 on 12 carries. Big glaring weakness....Trinity was horrendous on kickoff coverage, ending with a KO return for a TD. With what happened to them at Henry Clay last year in the special teams, this week, I look for them to work on that 100%....

I'm with you RP. "ROCKS" looked great except for kickoff coverage. They must do better. The colder it gets, the fewer times "Z" puts it in the endzone.

The quest for #18 continues. :thumb:

well.....if we can get by this next one, I fully expect us to be playing the evening of December 8th....man, I can ALMOST taste it, and we are still three weeks away.

Thatwas the most impressive first half I've ever seen Trinity play. They've played well against really bad teams, but to be up 49-0 twenty-one minutes into the game versus a top 15 team in the state is astounding.

Don't look now but...

2 down, 3 to go.

Rocks make a big statement tonight. This is the breakout game the D needed, a little work to do on the not so special teams (kick coverage) but that will be taken care of. HC is next come on Friday.

^^^Did you go?

Ballard had no answers tonight.

I'm looking forward to T's traditional Thanksgiving morning practice/reunion/low-key pep rally....sweet rolls, doughnuts, hot chocolate, coffee, game tickets, and a lot of good friends and former players, coaches, teachers, etc,... When Trinity has been fortunate to have this practice, it used to mean they were playing a semi-final game the next night. This year it is a quarter-final, against, I'm assuming, the H.C. Blue Devils.

A victory of a stunning magnitude over a very talented Ballard team that X really struggled against. Trinity is hitting on all cylinders and may be in the catbird seat now. Congrats on a big win.

While I view it as an awfully impressive win, there are some serious kinks that still need to be worked out. Especially if the Rocks are going to be taking home #18...competition steps up considerably in the next few weeks....it's time to go to serious work Rocks.....

Wow! Trinity is on a roll right now, I really don't think anybody is going to beat them. They left no doubt in this game they are playing their best football at the right time.

I really thought this would be closer... T appears to be taking it to the next level. They will need it next week. A good win over a foe we love to beat. Next stop HC!

Maybe it's just me with some distorted perception, but Trinity's players seem faster the last 3 games (Lafayette, Seneca and Ballard). They'll need the speed to compete with Henry Clay. They need to keep those Devils in front of them on defense.

I started noticing it in the first Seneca game. Look at these first half scores the past 5 weeks:

10/19 Seneca: 34-3

10/26 Dunbar: 41-0

11/2 Lafayette: 35-0

11/9 Seneca: 42-0

11/16 Ballard: 49-7

How quickly we forget the years when Trinity wouldn't score 201 points in a regular season, let alone 5 halves.

Just as sure as the Sun will come up tomorrow, Beatty's got the team peaking at the right time of the year yet again. The man is an excellent football coach.
