This is the first year that I can recall. It's kind of a stupid name, really. I guess it refers to a tournament leading to the world-famous "Prep Bowl." Kind of sounds like some type of dog food.

All criticism is founded in my eyes. What the heck is the Prep bowl. Sounds like the Guru should get some of the credit or money from the BluegrassPREPs bowl.

KHSAA couldn't make up its mind what it wanted to call the state tournament. Last week alone the Web site changed from 6-A State Football Tournament to 6-A Prep Bowl every dang day.

Who cares what they call it, everyone in the state knows what it is: the best in each class.;)
