If Stephens plays like I here he played in the summer I still give Montgomery the #2 nod over the cards.If he plays like he did at the end of the year last year they drop.GRC will be good but except for the red head kid they will be very young but talented.As far as Scott as someone mention I think the #10 spot isn't much different then the #7 spot this year in the 10th I simply gave St. Pat and Augusta the nod ahead of them because of experience.Devilman I have nothing against Deming,Only thing accept for the King twins they don't have much and I wouldn't want to put all my eggs on two 6'0 guards.But again these are just my opinions and that is the reason for this thread is to get everybody Else's top 10 and take on the 10th since the season is almost upon us. Heres to a fun and healthy basketball season.

 

I know it's alot to ask of 2 Freshman to come in and make a difference and I'm sure expectations has already put them under pressure to do so, but then again we'll have to wait and see.

I think Calvary should be in the top ten somewhere? I mean, they got a solid backcourt, and have a new offense. I see them coming to the top in the region this year.

That's nice but I was talking about the King twins from Deming.

I think Grc is really a toss up in this region, they lost a lot(Knowles/Jones) but still have some talent(Stenzel,Bennett,Hatton) I can see them right there with Montgomery as the second best team in this region, or sliding down and just being an average team in the region. What do you guys think? who are some other wildcard teams?

I would move Campbell as high as 2 or 3 in the rankings. They are led by mainly juniors.They have an intese belief in what coach Code is all about and really believe in his style of basketball. They have 2 great juniors in Pat Nerl and Pete Albrecht. Albrecht is a force inside on both sides of the ball and has been steadly improving all parts of his game since freshman year. Nerl is a true scorer and can pressure anyone when he's on defense. Last seson when he was given playing time he was noticably the best offensive force on the team. Look out for those Camels!

Well if your Camels can prove it then all the power to them.

In reality preseason rankings are nothing, mostly used to have people like us argue. It won't take too long to see the real rankings.

#2 or 3 may be a little ambitious, given their ability to underachieve the past few years, especially if they've truly lost John Verst for the year. There's reason for optimism out in Alexandria, but let's see them play to their talent level and play some defense first; then worry about them cracking the elite of the 10th region!!

True the loss of Verst is big especially with his improved decision making that he showed early in practices. But the Camels definatly have enough talent to fill the void he left. They have the ability to go deep in their bench and still give the other teams trouble on both sides of the ball. But they must play to their potential unlike they have in the past.

Mason, Clark, and Montgomery are the three top teams in the 10th this year by far. With Mason leading the 10th out in front. Montgomery could be very dangerous this year from what I have heard. Clark has big shoes to feel. But people will step up for them and they will be right up there in the hunt, And Mason well thats enough said alone.

Treg Setty is listed at 6-5, and if you look at the team picture, comparing him to both his brother and Darius Miller, that's probably not an exaggeration. Neal is, as you say, 6-2. But considering they're both freshman, they're probably still growing.
