November 10, 200718 yr I admit I hate OSU, but my reason for getting on them as much as I do on here, is because I didn't want to see them in the title game again. I felt that they definitely are not one of the best two teams in the country. So that is why I think a lot of people were rooting for them to lose, because we didn't want to see a fraud in the national title game again after playing a weak schedule... I respect OSU and Tressell. I dont like OSU and root against them b/c of 95% of their fans are way full of themselves ( alot like UK bball fans sometimes). I have lived in Columbus and witnessed it first hand.

You are all fans of teams in the area, and your hatred for Ohio State has been born out of your desire for your respective programs to have the success the Buckeyes have. Except for Michigan. November 10, 200718 yr Nice job by Illinois... they did everything they needed to win. We did everything we could do to lose. Coldweather fan congrats to your guys! Tressell made a major mistake calling time out when they were in punt formation. As for the UK fans how many losses do you have? Thats right shhh. Time to go to Michigan if we win we are still in it.. I said all year two teams with 1 loss are in the championship. And that team wont be OSU!

I'm pretty indifferent toward Ohio St. Heck, one of my best college buddies is the film coordinator there. I just didn't want to see a team in the NC game that clearly didn't pass the eyeball test. And if you'll look back to last year, I was one of the more vocal people calling for a Michigan-Ohio St. NC game. Boy, was I wrong.

I've seen that behavior before, in a different NCAA sport, and with a team a bit closer to home ... :sssh:

November 11, 200718 yr Is Illinois that good? I have not seen them all year.... The Illinois offense was ranked low on the totem pole in both rushing & passing but played like the best team in the country today. Zook had a great game plan and the Illinois offensive line owned the OSU front four all day. The bottom line is that OSU got out played today in all phases of the game.
November 11, 200718 yr :banana: Ohio State stepped on the banana peel at Ohio Stadium today. And kept stepping on it on defense (where was the coverage on at least three of the four Illinois touchdown passes?) And Ohio State slipped on the banana peel as far as the BCS is concerned, not that they were supposed to be there anyway (pre-season picks), but they re-visited the National Championship game vs. Florida. Their defense was embarrassed Saturday.

This always happens...I've noticed that opposing fans like to point out "flaws" in UK fans...the problem is, they all act the exact same way when put in a similar situation. I think that's probably what has been most gratifying to me this season... But, what do I know? I hate Ohio State and I once again felt they were overrated and benefitting from a way, way, way down Big Ten...I was terrified they were going to cruise through and get in the title game. I mean, what I don't get is that everyone was questioning BC and ripping them up before they got beat...but they were just as qualified as Ohio State based on their schedule. As for the BCS Title game...who knows who's going to be there...I wouldn't count the Buckeyes out yet the way this season has gone...deserving or not.
