They sure did.

Beat us like a drum. Beat the dirt off of us and we did not have to clean the uniforms. Beat us bald headed. Scored at will. DOMINATED us. Slapped us around. Owned us and took the deed to the place. Made us like it. Made us fumble all night long and won the game. Scored the 2nd most points we allowed all season. Let us see exactly why we should'nt be playing powerhouse teams with power house defenses like we faced from that game on. WILLIAMSBURG BEAT LYNN CAMP FOR THE 2ND STRAIGHT TIME!!!! They were the better team that night and for the rest of the season. They got the #1 seed, they have a team we could not beat twice at their place and they (Jackets) are the New England of claa A football in our district right now. They keep finding ways to win.

Made us lose 4 straight games, made us hate football here. Made us see we are not worthy. Maybe we should concentrate more on golf or tennis and leave the game to real men?????

Won't mention that game again, but will change the record over to the Campbellsville game. They did exactlly what you did to us to you, but it's all going to change in a few weeks? We probably would have trouble moving the ball again against you, but I still see Campbellsville doing more of what they did, too. They lost no one from that beat down.

BUT you should go ahead and buy tickets for the Jackets/Hazard matchup!!!!

W. Moses on offense is about equal to Joe except that Williamsburg won a couple of games without their best player.

W. Moses is a solid player, I would rank the third best in the district behind Roskopf and Wanger. After losing Roskopf Lynn Camp played pretty tough teams Hazard the #1 ranked team in class a, beat the best team on Williamsburg schedule by 3 tds, and Middlesboro is Middlesboro nothing more needs to be said. I think that Moses will be one of the top players in the district next year. The top players out of district 6 this year imo are:

1. Roskopf -LC almost 1,600 yards and 20 tds in a little more then 7 games

2. McCubbin -CHS- Great all around player can change a game at anytime

3. Bridgewater CHS- Better at linebacker, but is also a solid back

4. Wagner -LCHS- The best two way player in the district

5. Moses -WHS- Type of player who won't get you beat.

As far as the game goes, it will come down to if Williamsburg defense can stop Campbellsville. I think they will slow them down, nothing like last time. Campbellsville will hold on and advance.

Last time I checked; Williamsburg leads the all time series with Lynn Camp, has more district titles than Lynn Camp, more region apperances than Lynn Camp, and I know Williamsburg has only won one region title, and I am not for sure how many region titles Lynn Camp has won, I do know of one, but there could be more, so you could get them there.

However, I am glad that you are changing tones, hope to see in you in Oragne on Friday:walk:

We wear orange every friday (Burnt orange with some black to go with it! The other orange gives me hives!!!(GET IT??? HIVES!!!!!)!!!:D:lol:

Why the update on a team I can't talk about anymore and what the Jackets have done in their history, especially at the expense of those guys???:confused:

WE all know they (the ones we speak nary about) are unworthy to play football and are an embarassment to Class A football. I am SHOCKED the KHSAA allows them to share a field with such daunting foes!!!

I never even brought up what those other guys had done or did not do in playoff history (although those other guys have a lot more wins in the same ammount of playoff apperances). I just said that this was 2 in a row that W'burg beat whatever that team is that I can't speak of without a malestrom. I said they lost to the Jackets, That that group was physically and mentally destroyed by the Jackets and I showed that they (Stan's team) totally demoralized the other guys and ruined their season and seasons to come, maybe even their grandchildren's seasons. I gave them props, so what's with the "Look what we did" post, Mr. Fundamental????

When else besides '04 did W'burg go to region (Pikeville) and when did they win it? Can't be in recent memory. Must have been in the 1940's to 1960's range.

That OTHER team has 1 region title and 3 or 4 apperances. They never even made a playoff game until '83.

I thought I read or saw somewhere that 04 was the first time Williamsburg ever played for a regional title. Lynn Camp has played 3 in the last 11 years, including winning one in 03.

You can't take anything away from LC's progress over the last decade...and by the way Cat if you'll notice I did say power teams are WHS' Kryptonite in another post...You are also right about the buletein board material...not needed for 2nd round, but it always adds fuel to the fire for teenage boys. IF everything is held equal from the first matchup the result will be the same...IF WHS plays more soundly defensively it can/will be a different ballgame. This will be a war from all indication and I can't wait to see it.

By the way CHS fans have a safe trip over to the Burg Friday afternoon.

You hit it Chant. :thumb:

It will be a war.

Slobberknockin and finesse.

'63 was the year Williamsburg won region; but that is enough talk about the past and Lynn Camp, I should not have brought any of those things up, all that matters is that Campbellsville is a great team, Williamsburg is a good team, both teams are young to a point, both teams will be trying their best to represent district 6 in the region game, good luck to both, and I hope to watch a good game friday night, by the way cat, are you coming I guess it would be south to watch the game? If so I would like to meet you!

Never believe the paper if that is where you read it, the Whitley once said Lynn Camp was winning the series with Williamsburg, then the very next week they had to retract their statement, anyway are you coming to the game Friday, I would like to meet you

The Burg is hot. But I will give Campbellsville the mild upset 47-41

I haven't made up my mind yet, between this game, Corbin/Middlesboro, or Bell/Rock.

gchs uk9, How far back do your playoff records go? I just noticed something. A lot of the other threads contain 35 to 40 playoff apperances, so if your records go all the way back to playoff beginings there is no way with the recent sucess that a region title was won with only 5 wins in 12 apperances. Either the playoff wins are wrong, apperances are wrong, or the title in question was won some other way.

Our numbers were right on the earlier playoff thread, so I am figuring you did your homework and got them from KHSAA or somewhere like that. What year did the current system start? Before or after 1963? Just curious. Something doesn't seem right with the numbers on here.

Jackets are no where as bad as the first game these two teams played. Campbellsville no where as good.....so with that said and the home field advantage....I take Campbellsville to sneak into Rose Stanfill Stadium, Finley Legion field and grab a win in a close game....Jacket defense is still not good enough to get the big stops when needed. I hope I am wrong. The Jackets have exceeded my expectations this season and I would love to see them go another round. Eagles 26 Jackets 20. Again, I would love to eat some humble pie on Saturday while sitting in my deer stand overlooking the big Alfala field.

To be honest I think this will be a shootout, with the team having possesion last in position to win. Campbellsville has a strong running game and of course the Jackets like putting the ball in the air. Which defense bends but doesn't break? The Jackets young d has been playing better of late, not stifling by any stretch of the imagination, but better. If they can get 4 stops total in this game, I'll say the Jackets win, if not, then it could be a sad night for the Burg. Jackets 41-38 in this one.

This is a tough one to call. Several factors :

1. The travel - Two and a half hour bus ride for Campbellsville

2. Home Field Advantage - Williamsburg

3. Motivation Factor - Williamsburg

4. Offensive Scheme - Williamsburg

Do you see a pattern developing? No way Campbellsville can win this game. Too much stacked against them. We will just have to wait and see how they respond. More observations later............................
