Heard the Score on WFTM. This puts Mason Co vs Russell next week. Gonna be a big game.

Had to work so I had to listen to the game. Drew Abrams had a huge first half. East Carter is pesky as usual. Nathan Carroll is a player.

 

For the East Carter fans. Has East been running the spread more lately or was that something of suprise for the this game?

Abrams had 155 yards on 8 carries in the first half. I didn't hear the totals.

I can't speak for all of their games, but gaainst Belfry they would randomly mix the spread in, additonally they would use Carroll at QB for a play, then move him to WR. It was odd cause there was no rhyme or reason at times for their switch... they would go from a straight power set and suddenly go out of the gun.

The radio guys said the 52 yard TD run looked like Jones was 100%. I think he only ran the ball 3 times. I don't think Abrams ran but a couple of times in the second half. I think he had about 170 yards total.

21-7 Russell at the half. It was 35-7 in the fourth when Russell botched a snap on a field goal. After that it was JV and Freshman.

I get the impression that EC's head coach is a big WVU fan... not only does he try to incorporate the read option on offense, but EC is also one of the few HS teams who actually attempt to run a 3-3-5 defense, a Rich Rodriguez staple.

Great win tonight Devils. time to get ready for a rematch with Mason County. Not an easy task by any stretch of the imagination, but McGlone will have the kids ready to play.

Just saw the highlights and Jones' TD runs. The ankle looks much better. He could not have done that a couple of weeks ago.

Tyler said that he's feeling much better. The week off really did wonders for the Devils. They really needed that week off to get everyone healed.

Congratulations to Russell, and good luck in the district championship. It should would be nice to have three district champions in Greenup Co.

Devils looked good tonight,but they had better get the snap on extra points and field goals worked out before next week.Think there was 4 bad snaps on them tonight,will kill you in a tight game.........Hope they have a great week of practice and are focused next week for mason co. GO DEVILS
