I was told that LC and their coaching staff was going to have some surprises for BC. Guess not!! The whole camo ideas was bizarre nonetheless. Congrats to BC and that fight at the end of the game was simply embarrassing. Have to try again next fall. GO DAWGS!!

Was down on the sidelines the whole game listening to ALL the trash talkin...BOTH SIDES....but no reason to start a fight. LC did this a few years ago when they got beat in the districts in basketball. It was senseless then and is senseless now.

I dont think anyone was being cocky...but BC IS playin next week......

I am gonna guess that the surprise was that the Lawrence County's Coaching Staff was going on a Hunting Trip and decided to all wear Camo and just keep on driving toward their trip after the game tonight.

 

Was kinda odd...Every coach had Camo on.

 

Honestly hate to see Lawrence County look as bad as they have this Season, their fans deserve better.

 

Their boys deserve better,I'll stick with my case that you can't rebuild on a schedule that brutal,but nice win for BC.I can't wait for the GC game.

Now, I would like to say to my Cousin (Coty Roberts) and the other seniors on the team. I am personally proud of you all and so are the true diehard LC fans. I am sure I speak for them when I say "Good Luck in whatever you all decide to do in your life".

I wish the old format was in effect, Boyd County versus McCreary Central would've been a great game.

All in all this was a very good game it was 6-0 late in the 3rd and IMO the refs did a great job on this game for both side . But Boyd co. just out played us in the end and that's why they won this game . I hate it for the seniors to go out with a season like this has been but I am hopping and praying that we never have another season like this one was because the kids that work for December to December in the weight room and on the field deserve better . I hope things get turned around here in Louisa and we can once again put fear in the opposing teams like in the 90's but for now it's back to the drawing board and next year is a hole new season . Good luck to both BC and GC may the best team win and represent this district well in the region ;

I saw Coty talking to the BC coaches when it all happened and he eventually walked over to apologize to the BC team and tell them that they played a good game. Don't let a few kids leave the BC fans with the impression that this is typical Lawrence County, because it is not. Good luck to BC and I hope that they beat out GC (which they should). As far as the camos, I think that it was supposed to reflect that they were in the hunt for the win and the eventual district title. I really hate this for our seniors. I hope that the program can get turned around and get back to the LC football that we love.

Playing High School Football will live someplace in these kids memories forever. For Dawgs it's clear the coaching staff and kids are doing the best they can - they are for short period of time - extended family. This combination will produce winning results , but either way the Lawrence kids benefitted from this experience and that's what it's all about ... Very few end high school with state championships and all that really means is the experience lasted a little longer ... Good luck moving forward to LCHS seniors , life starts soon ....

I think everyone that has watched these young men compete against each other knows there is a nice Rivalry there. I and everyone else that has watched them for years, knows which kids cause the problems and which ones dont. Lawrence County has some great kids and have been a competitive Rivalry for Boyd for years. I can remember splitting wins in JFL every year and splitting Championships. Great group of kids on both teams last night. Cannot remember who was QB for Lawrence in that age group back then, but do remember Roberts and Pack in the backfield for Lawrence and Preston on the line. Gatlin Barker and Zak Wilson was the RB's for Boyd County Panthers that knocked Lawrence County off their last JFL season for the Championship. Ethan Fultz and Jonathan Stapleton was on the line on that team.

 

A lot of good young talent out there last night that has played together before. We once took a team including Ethan Fultz(Boyd), Donnie Bryant(Boyd), Chandler Shephard(Lawrence), Ben Preston(Lawrence), JJ Jude(JC) and some other Boyd underclassmen out of town...was a fun, but very cold trip. Great young men there and a bright future for both teams.
