November 5, 200718 yr Honest, I've never heard of it. What's it about? I took this description off of the back of the movie! It's based in the early 60's - A new kid moves into town, and everyone thinks he is a dork - he can't throw a baseball nor does he know how to play the game. The leader of the neighborhood gang recruits hm to play on the nearby sandlot field. It's the beginning of a magical summer of baseball, wild adventures, first kisses, and fearsome confrontations with the dreaded beast and its owner who love behind the left field fence. It is a must see!! Some classic quotes come from this movie.
