I have heard that Ludlow has started to prepare and work on things for next year, while still preparing for Lloyd and Beechwood. Is there any truth to that? Do they have any skilled underclassmen?

 

I think there might have been some truth to that when Rouse was out, and they were trying to find out who can run the QB spot for next year. However I doubt now that they still starting to prepare for next year. Especially since even though they got to play Beechwood, they are still in the playoffs...And yes they do got some skilled underclassmen. Ludlow actually will have a lot of skill at the running back spot because they return all three backs that they have rotated this year. One of them possibly could be moved to receiver next year. Also Ludlow will have Betz back who was in his first year of varsity action and has shown a lot and have made some great plays. But has also made some not so great plays, but that is all in the learning experience. Ludlow also has a very good 8th grader that has been playing on the freshman team this year, and probably will be seeing sometime at the varsity level next year. The big question for next year really comes down to the QB spot for Ludlow...

I agree that Lloyd has a very talented JV team. Last year as freshmen they beat New Cath , Beechwood and Newport. Could be nice additions to the varsity for the next two years. Would love to see more exposure of this class to varsity if the score allows this week.

I believe Ludlow can win this game, but I also don't see them changing anything on the offensive side of the ball. Therefore, as much as it pains me I see Lloyd winning.

I would love to see Ludlow win this game, not because I do not like Lloyd but so Ludlow can get some confidence going into the playoffs. Lloyd has a talented team with some good athletes so I seen them winning the game, but I would be rooting for the panthers. Good luck to both.
