Most of the discussion on this thread was between OSU and Mich. fans. I am an OSU football fan as well as U.K. and a couple of others. My point is that you have said in the past (I guess that all is still the same) that you are a U.L. Football fan and Duke b.b, fan. That is fine, I certainly have no problem with being a fan of more than one school.

My points that you a U.K. and OSU hater and not a fan of OSU/UM or Wisc. which has been most of the discussion on this thread. Seems to me that others have bought U.K. into this one for some reason :confused:. I didn't untill this post to try and make a point.

Go back and look at the other post you have been gone for a while... there are plenty of haters... funny I havent seen any BC or Kansas haters though.... People are actually making cheer post against TOSU... it's hilarious....

 

I think the reason why you see people making cheer post against OSU is because OSU is not the best team in the country they are not even on of the top 2. So most of just dont want to see them in the title game again when there are better teams than them. So yeah I know I just have never been a OSU fan, but I am rooting against them more than ever this year, because I dont want to see a team like theirs get in the title game playing a schedule like they have...And please dont tell me that if they still go undefeated in the new few games that they proved that they are the best team in the country. The Big 10 is terrible this year. I mean yeah the games they have coming up are harder than the first 8 games they had, however they still are not the toughest games in the world. Penn State is not that great of a football team. Wisconsin has already been exploited this year, and very slow. These teams OSU have to play, are great matchups for OSU. These other teams are so much slower compared to OSU and have no offense. While if OSU played some other teams that actually had speed like them, and if not more they would have a harder time winning. The teams in the Big 10 are perfect matchups for what OSU does. I mean the team that probably will be their toughest test this year is Michigan, a team that lost to a 1AA team. So that is saying something about their schedule. And that is why you have so many people hating on OSU this year. I mean last year when it looked like OSU really was the #1 team in the country, you didn't have as many people hating on them. Its just a matter of people actually wanting to see a title game with the actual 2 best teams in the country, and most of us feel that OSU definitely is not one of them...

So Carr being their longer has nothing to do with it, and was a valid point..Also he is not the one who brought UL in it, your fellow OSU fan sportaddict did..Sportsaddict seems to think that if your program has not done as much at the program he likes, that you have no room to say anything. Yet that this is a website that is about people posting their opinions on things. A. TOSU will have played and hopefully beaten 3, top 25 ranked teams at the end of the season. If you don't like that... write the poll makers.

 

B. If the previous 10 or 11 teams who were ranked ahead of TOSU at the start of the year didn't choke.. TOSU isn't #1 right now.

 

C. A lot believe TOSU is better.. the defense was young last year.. and the O looks better right now.

 

D. TOSU players LOVE when the SEC homers hate on them... they absolutely feed off it.... when they opened up a new gym.. they made the combination the score of the FL/OSU game.....they later changed it to the date of the game.......

 

E. If TOSU would have went to So Cal this year like they are next and won... (since many say So Cal is down) they still would be given no respect.

 

F. Why don't you all bash Kansas.. who have they played? Why aren't TOSU bashing Kansas.... cause we don't care one bit about other teams... we worry about us.

Smart comment.... none of RP's comments were smart towards.. TOSU? Besides I just have fun with RP and he can take care of himself. If your gonna start ripping TOSU of course we are gonna fire back at your team. Do you see many UK/UL threads with TOSU openly bashing them? I am not a big fan of Louisville but I like Brohm... and I was a UK football fan until they started hating on TOSU. I do agree it is foolish to have all the hateful threads but it wasn't started by us I can GUARANTEE you that. Heck... look back I have cheered UK on all year.

 

The TOSU fans come on here post scores talk about predictions and you consistently see from other bashers... "haven't played anyone, lost to FL." I respect others opinions on here and full well know that others have the right to post what and where they chose as I do as long as it is within the rules.

I just thought that is was funnny of him calling out tOSU like he was, discrediting the Buckeyes and others have done the same. I have said in other threads and will say again............yes, OSU's ooc schedule was weak this season - they cannot help if the Big10 is down. Players play the teams on their schedule......period. I have also said that the Buckeyes have beaten all the teams that they have played, they have taken care of business vs. some lesser / unranked teams -- other teams whose fans are blasting OSU have not beaten the lesser teams ln their own schedule. Imo no one can call out OSU when their teams have failed to beat the teams that they should have. That just doesn't fly with me (like certain "Cardinals" hasn't flown all season:sssh:). Yes, I just brought up U.L. myself again ......to make a point.

I full well realize that Carr has a good record and that the comparison was for the first 6 years of both coaches tenior at OSU and UM. I beleive that if one is going to compare coaches/records then compare all of their record. One Example would be the NC's listed.......Tressel has 5 national championships total. Yes I realize that 4 of the were 1-AA but they are still a reflection on what the man can do. Carr has agood record and I was just going to point out Tressel's "overall" record as well. :thumb:

 

There is nothing to compare with college/NCAA sports (any of them). I love college football. One thing is that when football is done (really before) at least in college basketball I can concentrate on only One Team.....The Kentucky Wildcats!!! (and whoever is playing U.L. or the Vols:D) :ylsuper::thumb:

I have around 4 teams that I pull for in college fb, life is much simpler in basketball season :lol: :thumb:.

I know that they a have full right to but I just think it is funny how some jump on other teams when their team have failed miserably.

I am not talking as much about the team up north fans taking jabs at the Buckeyes..I expect that and I do the same at them, mine is all in good fun as I believe the Mich. fans on here for the most part are the same. After all, it is Ohio State and Michigan - that just is a given.

But, that opens the door for people to pull for the upset no matter who would happen to beat OSU. If some one else were to be ranked # 1 I usually pull for that team unless they are one of "my" teams! Now; add in obnoxious fans that support that top tiered team and more people love to root against them. People who would not normally root against them.

 

One of my good friends loves to root for Duke in Basketball and he is obnoxious. Aside from me already not liking Duke, I love it when they get beat because I get to call him and rub it in. He obviously does the same when OSU looses in football.

 

So with all that its normal that since OSU is currently ranked #1 there will be a lot of so called "haters".

 

I don't know if they will go undefeated and be #1 at the end of the year or not. I hope so, but at the beginning of the year, I predicted either 10-2 or 9-3. I look for them to struggle aginst Illinois and regardless of the records going up to Ann Arbor will be a challenge. I have seen OSU go up there before and be #1 and get spanked severly. I also have seen Michigan come to Columbus and be a much better team, but OSU won.

If Michigan wins, the Big 10 will probably get 2 teams in the BCS, depending on how everything else plays out. One loss will probably keep OSU in the top 12 in the BCS rankings, though.
