October 28, 200718 yr They're all good so there isn't any team that stands out for the entire season. Its a fight for survival in the SEC and then in the BCS or national title game, the SEC team will mow the field with the other conference's champion (kind of like Florida did last season).:thumb: Yet all the more reason to have a playoff system in College Football.
October 28, 200718 yr From watching the last few weeks GEORGIA is 100% about the team....and they all are bought in with the coach I would not want to play them right now....they are flat out scary right now. They're definitely a different team since they got embarrassed by Tennessee. I'm a big fan of Coach Mark Richt.
October 28, 200718 yr I believe there are tie-ins for 8 teams. The other caveat is that getting 6 wins makes you eligible, whereas over 6 wins should just about guarantee you a bowl. I assume a couple of those teams will have exactly 6 wins while those above will get the bids.They do have 8 bowl affiliations. However, if the SEC can garner both "At Large" BCS bins, the conference could have 11 teams in bowls if Army is not bowl eligible. The only other overrides to the affiliation agreements is Notre Dame can replace any Big East team in any non-BCS bowl and Navy can replace the Big East team in the Meinke Car Care Bowl.
