Well I think Bourbon Co. has a big shot to get a victory over their cross town rivals next week. Paris doesn't have alot of depth in alot of positions, and not to say Bourbon has more talent but I think the depth will kill Paris and Bourbon comes out on top.

Paris will win, they are more aggresive. Bourbon's offense will not be able to call off the "dogs" on Paris' defense... i.e. Travis Angel, Des Henson, Jeremy Shupe & Cody Dumphord.

I also don't think BC will be able to stop the likes of Tiion Thomas, Zach Stephens or Klimper.

BC has a really nice QB, but Paris new QB is showing nice signs of good things yet to come.

I also believe Thompson will out-coach BCHS.:thumb:

Wow, I guess this game really doesn't have the hype like it did in the past. I mean, nobody is saying a word about this matchup of these rivals that will be meeting for the 44th time. Will this be a boring game? Personally, I think this can be the best game in this series in nearly 15 years. This will be a dogfight when the Hounds meet the Colonels.:fight:

How can anyone get "hype" about this game anymore!? I remember growing up this was THE game, but now a lot of people really just don't care to watch these two teams play...

Is it really that bad? You don't think it'll be a nice crowd on Friday night?

It should be an even match-up if you compare scores from the teams Bourbon and Paris have both played. (Bourbon 20 Montgomery Co. 39; Paris 6 Montgomery Co. 40; Bourbon 12 Mason 28, Paris 7 Mason 27; Bourbon 12 Nicholas Co. 33, Paris 14 Nicholas 34)

Paris has given up 263 points and scored 112, Bourbon has scored 153 and given up 304 points.

Bourbon's opponets records are a combined 51-31; Paris's opponets records are a combined 45-38.

Who ever can run the ball will win.

I agree. I think this can be one of the best games between these 2 teams in a long time. I think both are pretty even. The only thing Bourbon has is more numbers. While both of these teams has struggled this year, this doesn't mean it can't be a good game. Anything is possible when these 2 teams meet.

Is there any truth that the Bourbon QB is sidelined with an injury this week?

I personally would like to see more out the so called "dogs" on Paris' defense. They should be doing more than what they are doing. A lot of times these LBs are not attacking, they are passive at times. Yes, they will make the tackle, but it will be 5-6 yards downfield. Your first step has to be downhill. I would like to see them go out and get after it Friday night...It is the last game, because Paris is not in the playoffs this year.

I do believe that this will be a close matchup between these two teams. I don't think that it will be one of the best games in the history, because these two teams used to be some of the best in the state. In saying that I believe that it will be a good game Friday night and I will be there to see it.

I agree with jahearme, the luster of the Paris/Bourbon match up has deteriorated even within the community. While I'd say it will be a good game the magnitude of the event has gone way down. Paris in a blown out 35-13.

I think a lot of the problem in Paris/BC is that if you aren't winning titles every year, no one wants to come out and support you.

Too many bandwagon people in the area. Including administration.

I don't think Paris is going to let it go down in their house. :fight:

And from what I have heard Paris has a lot of festivities planned this week in honor of the seniors. They should be really pumped for this.

It should be an exciting game for the Paris/BC faithfuls. :thumb:

Those less enthused can stay home and watch the news.

I will still stick to my earlier post, Paris is the more agressive team.:fight:
