Maybe the two schools need to consolidate and find a new rival. Seemed to work for Mercer Co. and Mason Co.. Harrison Co. is a natural rivalry and they would still be in the same district. Combining the young talent of the two schools possibly could make them competitive @ that level. Maybe not the level of Cov. Cath. but they would be able to compete.

Won't happen. Not for about 20 years anyway. As far as academics Paris is stronger than Bourbon Co. Consolidation won't happen. I am against this totally..... I will say that everytime consolidation is brought up, it always brought up by Bourbon Co. I have never heard anyone from Paris wish to combine.

There would have to be financial problems for this to happen too.

Bourbon folks don't want it and Paris folks don't want it either.

And I can understand from both perspectives why they feel that way.

Paris scores very well on CATS, and even though they have small graduating classes, they have high %s of Commonwealth Diplomas and Scholarships.

That is impressive.

 

Hey BTW everyone else- Let's not forget while everyone is on here down on the Hounds this year (excpet for a few), We are having a rough season, not a 3 year losing streak! :confused:

Remember, these guys are supposed to be student/athletes and with that said ... From an academic point, no, these schools should not be consolidated ... but however, from an athletic point ... they've should've consolidated 10 years ago! Wow! Did I just say that?:eek:
