Not to get everone started but which penalty in particular do you think should not have been called. I know when the Hounds picked off one of the interceptions there were 12 of them on the field and the officials missed that one.

 

The Jumpers did have the ball and the lead early in the fourth quarter and the Hounds picked of a deflected pass to get it right back. If SHS doesn't turn the ball over there they have a chance to go down and go up 9 and could have very well won the game.

 

I thought the Corbin D-line did a great job of run defense all night, they got a push and got to our back before he could get started on most cases. The big weakness for Corbin was on the outside. ( the three picks were a tipped pass, a well read screen pass and a ball thrown up for grabs as the QB was going to the ground) Your front 7 on D are really nice but the back 4 will need a lot of pressure up front to help them out.

 

Corbin seemed to have a couple of plays scouted very well that we run alot. The WR screen to the right the Corbin kid stepped right up in front of our kid and picked it off for a TD, and a middle screen we tried was very well defended and could have been picked off.

 

SHS did move the ball pretty well spreading the it all around. John Coomer made 3 huge catches (2TD's) that should give some teams something to think about when they scheme against the Jumpers. John Cole made a couple of incredible catches to get key first downs and had one long TD catch and run. SHS WAS NOT firing on all points on the O side however. We dropped a few passes and missed some blocks that we have been making. I think this was a good game for both teams to play getting ready for the playoffs. Good luck hounds the rest of the year.

Corey Sewell had the play of the night, even if it got called back. What an INT.

 

This was the same play that Corbin had 12 men on the field and it didn't get called. Not only should it have been called back but it also should have remained Somerset ball. The refs blew calls all night and not just for one side or the other. This was a poorly officiated game all around.

Couldn't be prouder of those Hounds. Way to hold you composer while playing 11 against 16, Not sure how you guys pulled it off. Great Leadership. That O & D line are awsome, and # 34 is unbelivable! Nice win.

I'm sure that the Somerset coaches cannot be too happy with their run defense, it's hard to win giving up approx. 500 yards rushing............but on the other hand Corbin can't be very happy with their pass coverage, which has been exposed a couple of times this year. Both offenses looked pretty good though.

Do you have the penalty numbers? I am guessing but I would say Corbin had around 135 yards in penalties and Somerset probably had about 15.:confused:

Surely your not serious. There were former high school officials at the game that said this was the worst and most obviously biased crew that they had ever witnessed.

While the officiating was not the best, Some of the plays that upset the hounds so bad were not bad calls. Watch the films before you complain so much.

In the last 6 minutes of the game, with the game in the balance, there were two penalties called. 1 a 15 yarder against Corbin for a peronal foul. The other was a facemask against Somerset that was 1/2 the distance to goal.

 

I couldn't see through the radio well enough to tell if those were good calls or not.

Thank you for the compliment, Corbin also has a very nice and well coached team.

 

But I am serious and don't call me Shirley. Which call was made that was so bad or a missed call, besides the 12 men on the field for Corbin that was missed. There were calls that came up at very bad times for Corbin and negated some plays, but does that mean the penalty did not happen, just because the timing was bad? Watch the film and see if there was a penalty.

 

I am sure the former officials that were at the game and just happened to be sitting on the Corbin side weren't biased at all. This was a fun game between two proud programs, maybe not either teams best game but it was a fun game for us the Parents and Fans.

So there is 15 yards for Corbin and 1 foot for Somerset. I think Somerset had two other penalties for delay of game which add up to 10 more yards which gives a grand total of 10 yards and 1 foot.

How many personal fouls did Corbin have because of their mouths? Which only they control. Those are always big ones. I think it's called discipline.

Enough of the complaning and bickering about the officiating, or this thread will be done.
