Obviously, you attribute none of the Ram scores to poor Paintsville tackling. I'll help (mainly because I find it disrespectful to leave it one-sided). While the Tiger defense does leave MUCH to be desired, an appropriate score, once 24 pts are taken away for "poor tackling" on EACH side, would have been 30 - 6.

 

Raceland's offensive scheme is one that's not seen often. Quick pass plays are the hardest thing to stop if the offense executes consistantly, and Raceland most certainly did that.

Raceland ran the ball extremely well tonight. Denton and Carver were forces. The Rams did give up some points, but the object is to score more than your opponents. However Paintsville has some nice skill players who make plays. Paintsville has a nice team, but tonight I was surprised at the special teams play for the Tigers. They converted on no extra points after scores, and EVERY kickoff was onside. They gave the Rams the short field all night long. Raceland capitalized on the field position all night long and the kicking game for the Rams was so much better. Sparks pinned them deep all night, and and hit 6/8 extra points. Paintsville turnovers were very costly, but the Rams made a statement on the road. The Rams will now turn focus to Nicholas Co. and take care of business at home to secure that home playoff game. Coach Hoof will have them ready and I'm sure come Monday he will have them shaping up on the mistakes tonight. The good news is we looked better tonight than last week and that's the key this time of year to be ready for the playoffs each week improving and be ready to peak at the right time.

Congratz Rams

Oldrambler is totally correct and I appreciate him clearing that up for me. Paintsville played hard and never gave up. I have always preached from day one on wrapping up and tackeling. I have seen many teams look like they were playing tag. If it doesnt stop in the high school levels it follows on to college. There were several plays were we would jump at the player rather than wrapping up and taking down. I always wish each team we play well and always thank them for the hospitality. I wish the Tigers good luck on the rest of their season. I was just commenting being close to the fence on something the coaches kept hitting on tackle, tackle, tackle. Lets get back to work Rams we have another Friday coming up. Again, good luck to the Tigers on their next game.

Offensively, Raceland played a great game. Raceland converted big plays when they needed it. Denton, Carver, Peircey, Tolliver, Boyles, and the entire Offensive Line played very well. The ball was well distributed, no one player made all the big plays.

 

Defensively, Raceland was spotty. At times they made big defensive plays, but they gave up some big plays as well, Paintsville had a lot to do with that as well.

 

Paintsville never gave up and played hard. Hats off to them, they never quit. Paintsville has a nice team, with some very good players. #3, #4, and #33 played extremely hard, and are very good. Good luck to Paintsville in the rest of their season. Everyone at Paintsville was very nice, I spoke to several Paintsville fans, very good people.

Large around 50 yds receiving

 

Defense a lot of tackles by a lot of different people, No one stood out as having more tackles than anyone else.
