Looks like Corbin is the only roadblock Somerset will have until the regional finals...

I look forward to that game. Somerset and Corbin were great rivals back when I played.

He tied it with his 3rd touchdown catch. He also ran back a punt for a touchdown. He only touched the ball 4 times and scored all four times. Someone needs to look up how many punt returns for touchdowns he has for his career. The KHSAA Record Book shows the leader with 10--he'd have to be somewhere around 5-8 which would put him among the leaders.

Does any one know who all Cole is looking at? I have heard offers from Vandy...I think Kentucky, is looking but i don't think they offered a scholarship. Just curious. If any one knows please post.

As far as I know he's verballed to Vanderbilt.

Cole has 8 punt return TD's in his career.

I thought it was somewhere around there. That puts him in a tie for 3rd place for a career.

Whatever he finishes with in his career will be submitted to the state after the season. And yes he did tie the career reception TD record tonight with 59.

How close is he getting to the total yardage record? It looks like the only one he won't be able to get will be the career catches.

He is about 500 yards away and is currently averaging around 140 yards a game so if he continues to play well he should get that record as well.

Well, he should especially with the tough competition coming up, you have teams with the likes of Russell County who has won one game this year, and Casey County and Cawood who both have won two.

He had 15 catches (tied for 5th in a single game all time) and 4 touchdowns (tied for 3rd in a single game all time) against your Warriors last season. He's caught touchdowns against pretty much everyone he's went up against. Any records that Mr. Cole finishes with will be very much earned and deserved.

John Cole also had I believe three TD's against a very good NCC defense geared to stop him in the semi-state last year. John has as good of hands as anybody I have ever seen in high school and better hands than a lot you see on Saturdays. Congrats to a good young man on his accomplishments, keep it up!!!!
