Marshall County Wins State Boy's Golf

Featured Replies

There is a kid on Marshall County's team that MAY be ruled ineligible due to some paperwork that the school did not complete. If this happens, Marshall County drops to 3rd, Bowling Green to 1st and X to 2nd.

As I told TD in a PM, Unreal....

The real question is, how did anyone find out about this and why is it just now happening?

It is has been in discussion for some time. All very confusing to me.

Some on here would imply that somehow it is KHSAA's unwillingness to enforce the present rules.:D:rolleyes::lol:

It would be very upsetting and sad for the boys if it does come down to someone just forgetting to do paperwork.

Didn't they have a transfer student from Florida or somewhere?

I don't want to report anything false. However, I do know it started with something regarding a transfer student. I will get the specifics and let you know.

This is what I know as fact at the moment. The kid came up from Florida (was in the Leadbetter Academy) moved up to KY to live with other parent. MC didn't complete all proper paper work needed to make kid eligible. If this is determined to all be the case the KHSAA may rule ineligiblty of the kid therefore knocking them back to 3rd place for State Golf Tourney.

The word from Marshall is that the KHSAA has already checked this stuff out and that the kid is eligible ... and that the state title stays at Marshall.

I'm told that the KHSAA has already checked this stuff out and that the kid is eligible ... and that the state title stays at Marshall.

Hopefully, this is true and it all works out. Hate to see some kids lose out because paperwork wasn't done.
