The love affair with Tim TEBOW

Featured Replies

Vick did rush for 210 yards in a game though.

No way, no how will Tebow get those numbers & no way, no how is Tebow a better runner than Vick. Vick is the best running QB of all time, College or NFL. I know your not saying Tebow is better than Vick in that aspect but still. Tebow will not get those numbers.

I know that. Tebow is not close to Vick. Vick is an amazing runner and IMO I don't think anyone will be like Vick in the NFL ever again. I was just saying for Tebow to put up those kind of numbers is wild. The guy already has over 400 yards rushing and 8 TD's. If he can throw for over 2,500 yards and run for about 750-900 that would be wild. IMO it should be his Heisman to lose in the next couple of years.

But what has he done to put him in the elite QB's club?????

He's started 5 games....Kinda hard to be considered "elite" in that short period of time....

I don't like Florida at all, but I love to watch Tebow play. He plays with so much heart and guts I just can't hate the guy. He is an incredible athlete and I love to watch a quarterback run over linebackers.

I'd take Young.

I'd take Young.

That's fine. Still doesn't change the fact that Vick is the best running QB of all time.

I hate all these new QB's that just snap the ball and take off running. Don't see how that's exciting.

I like deep passes with diving catches and sweeps and cuts across the middle of the field. Leave the running to the RB and FB.

He's the kind of guy you can't classify.

Is he the best QB out there?...I don't think so.

Is his team the best out there...Apparently not.

But he just might be the best pure football player in college right now. What I mean by that is this. He's big, athletic, rugged, gutty, high-intensity, and he makes plays.

Tebow does nothing great, but he does everything very well. And who doesn't get excited when the QB runs over LBs???

Well said. Let's also not forget that the announcers for the UK games have shown Andre a LOT of love when he is playing as well. UK fans should enjoy it instead of pointing at another QB getting love and saying 'Why do they love this guy so much?' Tebow is a big strong kid who plays hard and has carried the load (literally) for the defending national champs as a sophomore in his first year as a starter. What else could UF ask for?

I see a lot of LEADERSHIP in him in how he directs his team. His teamates look up to him and look to him. You add his athletic qualities and it makes for a great collegiate QB.

He's still primarily a fullback. What was the bread and butter for Florida during that last drive? Tebow run. Tebow run. Tebow run. He's a servicable QB made better by the fact he's a load to bring down.

That's the offense, the spread option. It is primarily a running offense and he's the one making the reads. He's still learing his way. I'd expect to see his carries dimish once he gets everything down.
