September 24, 200718 yr UK still has #2, #4, #15 & #16 to go and #2 & #4 are back to back games. They will need to continue to play them one at a time if they want to continue to impress the way they have thusfar. Brooks was right, ... when you weren't there in the first place, once you get there, one bad loss can drop you right back out. I am so impressed with what UK has done so far. Brown has the defense getting better as the game goes on and Joker is becoming a very good O coordinator. Brooks has already accomplished more than most UK fans could have dreamed of considering what he took over and the slings and arrows he took along the way. He and his staff, as well as these kids, deserve all the success they are having right now. I have supported Brooks from day one, ... however, I never thought I would see a 9-1 stretch for UK football. The mindset has changed. And truthfully, ... Cats fans should thank UL for part of this! Why, you say? Simple, .... because the Cards raised the bar for what D1A football in Kentucky could be and it pushed the Cats to work just a little bit harder to earn some respect.

September 24, 200718 yr Wow. Louisville went from top 10 to no votes in two weeks. No suprise, the Syracuse loss was nasty. UL and Michigan are probably both top 20 teams just not getting it done. Michigan has started responding and I still think UL will too. But.... Louisville lost at home to one of the most inept teams in I-A. The loss to Syracuse might be the second most-shocking upset of the season. The Orangemen had scored 32 points in three games before getting 38on UL. Before Saturday, Greg Robinson had one Big East win in three seasons. If the slide continues Louisville might want to check with Conference USA to see if they might have an opening. No way they get any votes right now.
