Woodson did you know

And now he is officially jinxed. 2 to 1 that he throws a pick this weekend.

He's only jinxed if he reads BGP....

My thoughts exactly. Shouldn't this be like a no-hitter and we don't talk about it until it's actually done?

That's only in conversations WITH the pitcher. People in the stands and the radio/TV announcers talk about it during the game.

I would've expected this from Deuce, but not a KY fan...

He's been jinxed all season and dodged a few bullets...I'd like to see him break the record, for what it's worth.

They kept talking about his streak against U of L and I figured he'd get picked for sure.

I think the record is actually for attempts, not completions.

It is for attempts, and while I think Andre Woodson is a good QB that has improved 1,000% this stat also shows that he doesn't want to throw the ball downfield.

How does that show at all that he doesn't want to throw the ball downfield?

I think Woodson's yard per attempt this season is around 9. Brohm's is around 11. Does Brohm not throw downfield?

When you complete 30 passes and don't pass for 400 yards, you aren't throwing the ball downfield.

I actually attibute this stat for Woodson to fit a ball into a tight spot. He's incredibly accurate with the right amount of time. As far as passing the ball down field, how many times would you do that when your running game has been really successful this year? I know a successful running game would limit me to taking too many risks with the exception of play action.

Well lets see if you complete 30 passes and say just get 300 yards passing that is averaging 10 yards a pass which is a pretty darn average. I mean there is no reason to throw down field all the time just to do it, if your offense is just as successful without having to do it. I mean sure he could throw the ball downfield and have alot of overthrown passes, or underthrown passes like Brohm did against UK. But what sense would that make. When you got a guy open 10 yards down field, take that every time. I mean its not like he dont take his chances down field at all, I mean he does, but he just dont do it, just to do it. I mean when he throws it down field he usually is pretty darn accurate, so still wouldn't be any interceptions...
