I don't remember playing HHS in the regular season. I could be wrong though. I know we beat them in the playoffs in 86 in 2 or 3 overtimes, then the crazy stuff happened at Belfry. I thought the St. X game was the first game of the season, but I could be wrong. I know it was the only loss, and it was a bad one.

I remember that somewhere in there the Ads played the Birds in a Bowl Game at the start of the season. It was either the Rec Bowl in Mt Sterling or the Throughbred Bowl.

Don't bring up '86 and Belfry. :irked:

The St X game the score was something like 21-7 in the 3d Quarter and Duffy gambled about midfield on 4th and short. The Ads got stopped. The Tigers took it in and that was the snow ball going down hill to 41-7.

Only loss in the 87 championship year was to St. X. Came off with a big win against Highlands in the first game , then lost to St. X (????Could have been Trinity???) and then won 13 in a row I believe.:dancingpa

The AAAA state championship was between Boone and Shelby county that year.

The reference was to the '87 Danville team that was AA champ that year.

Sorry mods for having participated in this threadjack.

From what I've read this should be a big win for Danville. :thumb:

It was Danville's '87 championship year, too. Hatz wasn't implying that the Admirals won the AAAA championship that year.

Danville 42-6.

Fort Knox is far from the team it was in the late 80s/early 90s.

Danville rolls, 56-0.
