Rookie & Mustang. Can you name three players on Bama's team?

Have you seen us play. We have two kids that have broken Bama records. We have two tight ends, 6 WRs that we rotate. A Junior QB who I agree is not as good as Dre, but holds his own.

 

We use four Running Backs, our offensive line is the best one we have had in years. I'm sorry, IMO we are better, but thats OK guys pull for your team, just don't knock mine.

 

You have a good coach, and I believe we do too. Its his first year, give him four and come talk to me.

 

Thats the problem Larry a lot of these folks probably haven't see Bama in a full game this year. I have been lucky enough to see both in person (UK vs. EKU and Bama @ Vandy) Both look like top 25 teams. When it comes to skilled positions, I believe that the QB position goes to Woodson but I wouldn't be surprised if JP was on an All SEC team this year or next. Bama's wideouts are better. And the Cats backs are better, simply because our stud is only a freshman. At the rate Grant is going right now, he will be the best back in the SEC before he leaves. Today I just don't see UK going on the road and picking up this win.

I don't remember anyone ever "knocking" Bama......I've seen them play, they're a good team, but I think UK's offense is better. Defensively Bama has the clear edge.

I wouldnt got as far as saying the WR's are better. They maybe deeper, but look at UK's recievers. I believe Keenan is a 1st team All SEC guy if he can stay healthy and get back this game. Steve Johnson is another big strong WR who can play, and Dicky Lyons is a great slot reciever coming off a huge year last year. Throw in Tamme who is keyed on by every defense we play, and the recieving skills of Little and you have a plenty of weapons in the passing game to throw to.

Mountain Boy, I agree with you except D J Hall is better than Burton. I'm not going to knock Burton who is a great Wide out, DJ is better right now. He had two TDs and almost 200 yards against the hogs. Uk has some talent, Bama has too...lets move on and let the games be played.

2007- 13 receptions, 291 yards, 2 TDs

 

Burton

 

2006- 77 receptions, 10,36 yards, 12 TDs

2007- 21 receptions, 257 yards, 2 TDs

 

Also Burton is very valuable in the kick returning game.

 

Burton is a great wideout, he is very fast, a great athlete and has good size. Nothing against Hall, but I think Burton is simply the better WR.

Setting receiving records at a school that isn't really known for a high octane passing attack....not sure that's the evidence that puts it all the rest.

 

I've watched them both on more than one occasion and from what I've witnessed, Keenan Burton is better than D. J. Hall. So that's good I guess, we've got the guy we want and you have the guy you want...:thumb:

Yes, I feelin really happy, joyful, merry and gay. I'd love to see Cats, Cards, & Bama win Saturday, and for nd to keep on doing what they are doing.

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- And the Heisman Trophy candidates just keep on coming for Kentucky.

 

A week after finally beating Louisville and quarterback Brian Brohm, the No. 21 Wildcats face another stiff challenge in Arkansas running back Darren McFadden.

 

"It's a never-ending battle," Kentucky defensive coordinator Steve Brown said. "You've got that guy, then you've got this guy. Your celebration is small. Everything happens real quick, then all of a sudden you prepare for the next guy."

 

The "next guy" in this case being arguably the best all-around player in the country.

 

Squint real hard, and it's easy to mistake the No. 5 on McFadden's jersey for the 'S' splashed across Superman's chest. Kentucky coach Rich Brooks likens McFadden to a combination of the speed and grace of O.J. Simpson and the raw power of Earl Campbell.

 

McFadden's versatility, however, poses the kind of defensive problems Simpson and Campbell never did. The Razorbacks (1-1) line him up at nearly every offensive skill position, from running back to quarterback to wide receiver. McFadden ran for 195 yards and two touchdowns during last week's 41-38 loss to Alabama. He also caught three passes for 16 yards and even threw an incomplete pass.

LITTLE ROCK -- This stat has been repeated all week: Under Houston Nutt, whenever Arkansas loses for the first time in Southeastern Conference play, the Razorbacks always go on to lose their next conference game as well.

 

For example, last season Arkansas' first SEC loss came in the regular-season finale against LSU. The Hogs followed that with a loss to Florida in the SEC title game.

 

Stats like that are sometimes the result of coincidental quirks, but the sight of No. 21 Kentucky coming to town should give the Razorbacks pause. Who would have thought the Wildcats would be the ranked team heading into this one?

 

Quarterback Andre Woodson is hoping to take advantage of an Arkansas defense that had a hard time chasing Alabama's receivers last week, but the Wildcats have their own problems defensively. Darren McFadden should have plenty of running room in a game that will be enjoyable for anyone who likes offense.
