WOW what a statement, I am not a Fairview fan but it sounds like Raceland got lucky last week with Rairview having more yards, first downs, but lost the turnover battle. So, who knows if Raceland will play LCA. Fairview, or Nicholas isn't bad either. This district isn't a cakewalk. I could easily see a #3 seed beating a #2 and a #4 at least competing with the #1. Just my opinion.

 

I don't think my statement was that bold. 4 out the five teams from the district make the playoffs. Raceland has beaten Fairview, Fairview has beaten Nicholas, LCA has beaten Nicholas and Paris, and Nicholas has beaten Paris. I think Racealand will be in the top 4 of the district. If LCA is 1 and Raceland is 4, they meet in the playoffs. If LCA is 1 and Raceland is 2 or 3 and both win one playoff game, they meat. I don't think it unreasonable to think their is a good chance for any team to meet again in the playoffs.

 

Stir it all you like, but I think Raceland will see LCA again after this week.

Both teams were missing players that night, so who knows.... Both teams have alot of work and games to play before we talk playoffs.

:thumb: You are correct. Now.... I don't think that Raceland "got lucky" to beat Fairview, imo they flat out beat them with a better football team. With an an all time record vs. Fairview of 27-8 I don't think that luck is an issue . From what all I gathered the game should not have been remotely close. I will say that I was not there but I have talked to some very knowedgable football people about the game.

Oh bluto! I am heading that way this year since i am hearing most are wearing orange are you sporting the usual toga? Ok i know we get on here and go back and forth debating each game but here is how our thoughts count sometimes. I am from Ashland have relatives and friends at Raceland so i of course was for Raceland the Ashland game now. Did i think Raceland would pull that one out no not really. Was i worried about East? No i was not I thought fairly easy win. Wrong again. Last but not least I thought I we might be really down emotionally the Fairview game. Wrong again. They continued the streak there. Yes it was closer but heart played alot with that game.

You could debate all evening it is at LCA and Raceland has numerous injuries. Heart again will play a big part. Those young men that have moved up in the injured spots trying to prove something. Trying to make the coaches and the injured players proud.

 

You know my opinion I am going to be proud of them no matter what as long as the play the best they can. LCA is wonderful people. The boys that played at LCA that are going to KCU have been following Raceland when LCA games are far away. I know we all want our team to win but as i keep getting older i have just enjoyed the friends I have made from the other schools and come to realize that these young men will eventually come together to play in college.

Go Rams lets try and overcome some obstacles and if the victor is LCA congrads.

I feel the same way and especially about a couple of the LCA fans/BGP members that I have met through here. Good People is all you can say.

 

Bluto, EagleEye and some others (even Coach Rains though a Christian Coaches orginazation when told of my condition and problems by an LCA fan) have offered up prayers for me and my condition and I just can't express how much that is appreciated and it will not be forgtten.

 

Should Raceland not win the District and advance then here is one Ram Fan that will be pulling for LCA the rest of the way.

Oldram, your wisdom shines once again. Great post, and I agree 100%, except that Ashland prediction. We can speculate all we want, but with high school football, anything can happen. An unranked team can beat a number one team, a 1A team can beat a 6A team. It's a toss up. But, we watch and follow our high school of choose for all of these reasons. Again, great post.:thumb:

I don't know if being a Raceland fan means that is what I "should" say.I said what I did bc imo it is true. I try and call em' like I see em' as best I can. Should another team beat us and be better - I acknowledge that, always have. With 27 wins out of 35 years would say that my statement is correct. As for the game last week, Raceland blows out to a 20 - 0 lead I believe in the first half, gets a couple of key injuries on top of two of their better players out and the holds on in the 2nd half for a win. Fairviews kids desrve credit, they did not quit and came back hard.
