Russell Guys-- Quit giving Rambler the satisfaction of rising to the bait. Who cares if he slams Russell now by saying we aren't as good as some other team Raceland plays this year. As my grandmother used to say, the proof will be in the pudding next month. After this weekend our friends from Raceland will have a second loss and Russell will still be undefeated and ranked higher in our class than Raceland is in its class. Take the high road guys.

Most Raceland people root for Russell in the playoffs, just as I have been around most Russell people root for Raceland in the playoffs. I know that Last year Russell's Kasey Clark was quoted in the paper as saying he wanted Raceland to play on the carpet after the Russell game so he could watch 2 teams for the same county take a state championship. He said that would show the state how good football really was in this area!

Thanks. Your right ratings are no good in this one. I hope Raceland plays well. At least under the new format, Raceland will probably see LCA again anyway. This Raceland team is good, and I would hate to see it have trouble due to injury, I hope all the players can recover quickly and the back ups take advantage of the playing time and get better and prove they deserve the added responsibility.

 

WOW what a statement, I am not a Fairview fan but it sounds like Raceland got lucky last week with Rairview having more yards, first downs, but lost the turnover battle. So, who knows if Raceland will play LCA. Fairview, or Nicholas isn't bad either. This district isn't a cakewalk. I could easily see a #3 seed beating a #2 and a #4 at least competing with the #1. Just my opinion.

^ IMO you are correct in that this district has improved and should be very competitve. LCA is way ahead of everyone right now and then it is a dog fight for the rest of the slots.

Turnovers are a part of the game. With the turnovers the Rams had a short field all night, so that can answer why the Eagles had more yards and first downs. Now if they meet again it could be a different outcome, but maybe not. Both teams were missing players that night, so who knows.... Both teams have alot of work and games to play before we talk playoffs.
