Good win for the Rams holding on in the 4th vs. a talented Fairview team after a 20-0 lead in the 3rd qtr..

I guess that I may listen to the replay on WLGC now and wait for some of the Rams fans that were at the game to post some details.:thumb:

 

LCA is up next week, we will have to play MUCH better than we have all season in that one.

Raceland played a very good first half, and that is about it. Raceland did not play well in the second half, and about gave this game to Fairview. With Denton and Carver out, due to injury, Raceland's offense does not have the spark that it has with them. One bright spot, Raceland's defense played, probably, one of the best halves of football that they have played in a long time. They held Fairview scoreless in the first half and stopped Fairview on several third downs.

 

Steven Peircey was the player of the game on the offensive side of the ball, he ran down hill and gained a lot of yards on second effort. Brian Tolliver played a good game as well. Todd Selvage has become a very good football player, he had several receptions, an INT, and several key tackles. Tyler Fritz stepped up in the LB spot and played a very good defensive game. The O line has matured very well and gave Boyles good time and opened some gaping wholes in Fairviews defensive front.

 

All in all a very good first half for Raceland, but they slacked off some in the second half. They will have to play a full game without any errors next week to get a win.

I am glad to see the Rams sent the Birds back to Westwood with a big "L." Sounds like they have some work on the practice field and trainers room to do though.

No new injuries that I am aware of. Denton will be back next week, Carver will find out Monday if he will be back.

:thumb: Sparks is a weapon, a very good placekicker and on kickoffs and punts. Special teams at Raceland are a big plus for the Rams. Sparks as a 6'5" reciever with very good hands is a weapon there as well.

Again, good win tonight for the Rams. Now lets get back to work on Monday (maybe tommorow) and get focused on LCA.

The Eagles (LCA) may very well be the best team that Raceland plays this season.

I've been listening to the broadcast of the Raceland/Fairview game, and the commentators just keep saying what a weapon Sparks is, and they are right, a good kicker can make a big difference.
