I saw this in a Gallup poll and found it to be quite interesting.

If your party nominated a generally well-qualified person for president who happened to be (see poll), would you vote for that person?

Here are the results from previous Gallup polls:

2007

Jewish 92%

An Atheist 45%

Black 94%

Catholic 95%

A homosexual 55%

A woman 88%

Mormon 72%

Hispanic 81%

Seventy two years of age 57%

Married for the third time 67%

1978

Jewish 82%

An Atheist 40%

Black 77%

Catholic 91%

A homosexual 26%

A woman 76%

1958

Jewish 63%

An Atheist 18%

Black 38%

Catholic 70%

A woman 54%

1937

Jewish 46%

Catholic 60%

A woman 33%

Whereas an atheist, homosexual, thrice married septuagenarian, not so good of a chance.

Exactly!

I'm having a tough time with my answers. I'll have to think about it.

I didn't have a tough time at all. I have very few limitations, if the qualifications are legitimate.

Like..."If the person is breathing..."

I excluded atheist, married 3 times, Mormon and homosexual. Now, that I look at it, not very consistent of me to exclude Mormon and not Jewish. So, I honestly would probably not support either. Although there is a movement in the Jewish communities to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. If it was such a Jewish candidate, I could support them.

Now, now...I have a few more requirements than that! :D

I find the stats below to be the most amazing in the polls of the past.

1958

An Atheist 18%

Black 38%

1937

Jewish 46%

A woman 33%

What have you people got against people in their seventies? I hope to be one someday.

The only one I would have to to think about would be the atheist. I guess it would be a factor but not the ONLY factor.
