September 5, 200719 yr Okay, it's time to introduce, if not levity, at least a break in the bickering here in the P&R (partisanship and rancor) forum. If a mod decides to move this thread over to General Discussion, so be it. The object: without cheating (googling, for example), name actors that have portrayed the POTUS on film. Feel free to list as many as you want; whether or not you enjoyed them, etc. I'll start: Peter Sellers in "Dr. Strangelove" Kevin Kline in "Dave"
September 5, 200719 yr Wasn't Jack Nicholson the President in the movie about Mars invading Earth? Louis Gossett Jr in Left Behind III.
September 5, 200719 yr Wasn't Jack Nicholson the President in the movie about Mars invading Earth? Louis Gossett Jr in Left Behind III. That was "Mars Attacks," which was funny as all get-out. Bill Pullman was the Prez in ID4 Dan Hedeya played R.M. Nixon in "Dick" Of course, among his many governmental duties, Dr. Jack Ryan was also president in "Air Force One" John Travolta in "Primary Colors"
September 5, 200719 yr Harrison Ford in Air Force One. I'd have rather seen him play the President in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan books. I just hope they don't let Ben Affleck play the role if they make Debt of Honor or Executive Orders into a movie.

Dr. Jack Ryan was not the character in Air Force One. I don't believe the book when Dr. Jack Ryan becomes or is President has been turned into a movie, yet.
September 5, 200719 yr As in Robert Redford? Well, I had in mind John Travolta in Primary Colors, but Robert Redford will work too!
September 5, 200719 yr Bruce Greenwood played Kennedy in 13 Days Robert Culp in The Pelican Brief Michael Douglas in The American President
