I think LCA wins by 3-4 TDs and shows the new Paris coach he has a lot to learn about being tops in 1A football.

 

Is LCA tops in 1A football? I know Paris isn't. When I think of tops in 1A football, I think of Beechwood or Mayfield (I don't even know if they are still in class A)... I don't think LCA is tops in 1A yet. Will they be someday? Yes, but right now, I say no. Just because they have not won the region or been to the semi's or finals. Not trying to stir up any feathers, but this is my opinion.

If you know where the Fayette Mall on Nicholasville road is. You turn onto Reynolds Rd. go down the road past Meijers and LCA is on the left.

If this was a road game, I'd go with Paris. But homefield is a factor now days IMO

I gotcha. Like I said not trying to get anything started. I do think within in the next 5 years LCA will win a state championship.....

Imo with the playoff aligment for this season it would not suprise me a bit if LCA were on the carpet in the last week of the season. Pikeville is also excellent , Raceland is awfully young but has some talent. I look for LCA to be VERY strong as well as Pikeville. I would consider Raceland as a darkhorse in this region right now but may also be capable of winning it. That is not to disrespect anyone else, just the teams/districts that I am more familiar with. Beechwood and Mayfield imo are the 2 favorites in Class A right now with Beechwood being THE favorite.

Whoever comes out of the district with LCA/Raceland/Paris has a legitimate shot to get to the carpet. I am not counting out Pikeville or those other Eastern Ky teams, but in the past there was no real shot because Beechwood and New Cath were so dominant. It might be LCA or Raceland, who knows. What does Fairview have this year?

 

One last question: When was the last time Beechwood or New Cath did not represent this side of the state in the championship game? (this side being the eastern side)

I disagree if I may. This will not be this big of a blow out game . Look for LCA to spread the ball and to walk away with winning by 2 touchdowns.
