Watching this ... And why wouldn't send your kid to Beechwood? There are a few, if any, alternatves to a school the size (AND EDUCATION LEVEL) in Boone as compared to Beechwood. Just my opinion.

 

I think Travis wants to go to Ryle, which is the district he lives in, because he does not want to follow in his brother's footsteps. He wants to be known as Travis, not Cody's little brother. I've known both of them and they are tremendous athletes and very good students. I'm sure Travis is going to have an outstanding career at Ryle.

I wouldn't think it has anything to do w/being Cody's little brother, he will always be Cody's little brother no matter where he goes to school. I would have to guess he wants to go to school w/his peewee teammates and school friends.

Almost all of his school friends will be at Boone, so it can't really be that (about 85-90% of RA Jones feeds into Boone). It could possibly be wanting to play with his peewee teammates.

Yes Travis does go to R A Jones , and he does play some basketball.

My understanding is that the three teams toss coins in the air and the odd coin (i.e., the one that does not match the other two tossed) is the winner. I assume if all 3 coins came up the same (heads or tails) they would toss again.

I quess you missed that Ryle was in the top 1000 public schools in the united states per U.S. News and World report. The only other school was Highland at 700 something. Hmmmm didnt see Beechwood there.

Congrats to CC and Coach Doug Miller. They had a very good team this year with alot of talent and some very good coaching. Its nice to see some of NKY's former elite talents taking over HS programs and teaching and excelling.

Didnt CC lose to CovCath this year? Is so nice job of rebounding and beating them the second go round. I think there is going to be the same results on Thursday Night as well. Its tough to beat a team twice in one year especially in the Frosh level. How does Dale say it "We are sooooo :mad:"

In the game last night neither team played it like the rest of the season schedule. Both teams played the 1st half using their #1's, but it appeared that the 2nd half was played mostly by the #2's. Both coaches showed class by leaving in #2's, even when the opposing team had the ball inside their own 20. It was obvious that both coaches wanted to reward the ENTIRE team by playing one last game as a Freshmen team.

 

Hopefully the 2 schools can schedule a game against each other in the next few years. I think Campbell Co has its program headed in the right direction, and it looks like CovCath will continue to be one of the elite in No. Ky.

This doesnt surprise me one bit. I do know the CC coach Doug Miller personally but do not know any of the CovCath coaches at all:D. So if that is what happened last night then I commend both Coaches for doing the right thing and allowing the guys who worked their butt off every day to get some good PT. Both schools showed a lot of class when the Birds played them this year. Great Job and good luck next year guys.
