Prestonsburg 68 Betsy Layne 14

Yes, I'm not sure where the Allen Central and Phelps games are played this year, but if the Bobcats can win those games they should make the playoffs this year.

Yeah, that says a lot for the new playoff format.

No, if they could have, they would have.

What a classless statement...

For billyrayjoebob:

Coach Derossett's first head coaching job was at Betsy Layne. If Betsy Layne wants to schedule P-burg, Coach D will NOT say "no" to them. He will help them in whatever way he can.

Outside of district play vs. Pikeville and perhaps Paintsville, this will be -by FAR- the biggest chunk of $$ the Bobcats will get (in their share of gate). This game helps Betsy Layne the same way the Apple Bowl helps Paintsville (though the inequity there has only come about over the past few years).

Perhaps you'll share the reason(s) behind Belfry's scheduling of Shelby Valley ?!? :sssh:

^OK...Prestonsburg wouldn't play us.

Any more questions?

Gentlemen, take the personal jabs to the pm's and not the open forum.

^OK...Prestonsburg wouldn't play us.

Any more questions?

 ... ask and ye shall receive I guess....

I think Derossett has learned a little humility the past few years ..all indications are that Pburg pulled their starters extremely early in this one and I definately see what oneijoe is saying...

As for SV... take a mix of ipapi's reasoning and a mix of the reasoning why Pburg played BL (to help another team in your county who really wants to build their program, not far to travel, etc) The only difference is SV may be hosting a playoff game whereas BL will be happy if they win a game.

And there are always a few who find fault in everyone but their own child. ;)

^OK...Prestonsburg wouldn't play us.

Any more questions?

What's the incentive?

What a classless statement...

Shelby Valley is 75 points better than Betsy Layne:sssh: ...like I said earlier, Prestonsburg scheduling Betsy Layne would be like Belfry scheduling Phelps, who lost to Shelby Valley by 60+...call it what it is, schedule padding...that game didn't help anyone...

Coach D wanting to help BL? Please.
