Here's there attendance numbers for last season: 18,792 EKU 20,611 Pitt 21,248 Miami (OH) 18,123 Akron 20,146 Syracuse 27,804 Rutgers 15,889 USF Nippert's capacity is what, 35,000. Looks like there would be a lot of blue up there--I don't think the crowd would be much of a factor.

They gave up more points to a MAC team in their bowl game than UK gave up to the team that beat UL's opponent in the Orange Bowl like a drum...UK wins 7 out of 10 vs. UC, especially since there would be many thousands of UK fans in the stands even at Nippert...

It's not really about the crowd (even though tickets have sold better than ever this year). They play better at home...

With a coach that took over a month before the game. HSSB wouldn't think much of the points to WMU. UC jumped out to an early lead so it's excused apparently...

I can see the 6-1. However, how many of those teams brought any fans with them? They had a pair of wins against a couple of MAC teams, Akron by 6 and Miami by 14 that (and I'm just guessing here) brought some fans. Pitt clipped them pretty good--did they bring many fans? There would probably be at least 10,000 UK fans at that game and the travel would be negligable for the team. I see it as being pretty much a tossup at either venue.

Jumping out to a 3 TD lead is an excuse for giving up that many yards and almost blowing a game to a MAC team with a freshman QB playing his 4th game? C. Over 1100 yards to Vandy and La Monroe doesn't count I guess. D. What leads you to believe THIS year will be any different? Past performance is an indicator of future success more often than not. Surely you can't wholeheartedly believe this. You're basically saying there's no room for improvement. UK's D came up big against Clemson last season and I would imagine they'll still be feeding off the confidence of that outing. Plus another off season to get bigger, stronger, faster. In other words, getting better. But I suppose since 350 days ago they allowed a team 558 yards they're doomed to fail this season...

In other words, getting better. But I suppose since 350 days ago they allowed a team 558 yards they're doomed to fail this season... And based on your theory UK would have a heck of a lot of trouble moving the ball on the UC D. They have 8 returning from a very impressive group that had to fight through play calling on offense that often ran three times before a punt. UL scored 23 points at home against mostly sophomores. UC will be improved on offense because the new coach is much better at moving the ball by mixing up the play calling to exploit weaknesses. UC will be better than UK this year. There I said it...

No doubt UC has improved, too. I'm sure there are a lot of teams that will have improved. But given that both UK and UC have improved on D, that puts us back at square one. :lol:
