September 13, 200719 yr True story... Took my daughter to K-Mart (my first mistake, I know) to purchase the new Kanye West CD last night. It was on sale for $11.99. Took it to the only checkout that was open (this is K-Mart, remember). I was asked by the cashier for my date of birth. When I told her it was October 6, I asked if she needed the year. She said yes. Now, I'm obviously over 18 - if the massive bald spot doesn't give it away, the gray goatee (my compensation for not hitting the gym) does. She said she needed the DOB because of explicit lyrics. Then the CD rang up at $14.99 instead of $11.99 (remember, we're talking about...oh, never mind, you already know). "Is there a sign?", I was asked. "Yes - Kanye West, $11.99", I replied. "Was the CD in the wrong place?" "No - it was right there with the sign and it was the last one". "Maybe this one is more expensive because of the explicit lyrics" (you can't make this stuff up) (Silence from me while I tried to contain a belly laugh). "Well, people have been paying $14.99 all day long for this CD". "Not me". So the cashier gets on the phone to contact her counterpart in electronics. She asked to have a copy of the CD scanned. This after I had just remarked that I was holding the last CD of this make and model. Finally, someone walks up to the cashier and tells her that indeed, the CD is priced at $11.99. Then came my second mistake. I (attempted to) pay for the CD with a personal check. The check got stuck in the machine and the machine then went offline (remember;...oh, forget it). In an extraordinarily friendly tone (ask the many people who were behind me in line; again, the only line in the store at the only open [until now] checkout in the store), I said, "Perhaps I should pay you in cash." This elicited signs of mirth and merriment from the onlookers behind me in line. However, since the machine was now non-functional, we all had to troop up to the service desk; where, to my astonishment, the check was processed without further incident. Sorry for the rant, but I just had to get it out of my system. Chalk up one more unit, eventyally, to Kanye West.

September 14, 200719 yr 50 fell off the map once game dropped the G-Unot mixtape. 50's only premier album was, "Get Rich or Die Trying." Kanye's 'boss & mentor' is the best rapper to ever pick up the microphone. I have a hard time beliving that 50 will outsell Kanye. Maybe 4 years ago ... not now. Hang up the mich Ferrari
