Cody Elliott Signs with Ball State

Recommended Posts

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported this morning that Beechwood's Cody Elliott signed to play baseball for Ball State. This is the result of a lot of hard work and a great attitude. It could not happen to a better young man. I am sure both Mom and Dad are very, very proud. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070731/SPT0302/707310339/1062/SPT

Way to go Cody... I saw him play a few times during the school season and then a few more in the summer and he is impressive. Watched him run a timed event (second to home) down at the Sandlot World Series in Nashville and he has blow-out speed. He finished 2nd in a ridiculous time barely losing to a guy who looked like a world class sprinter.

Not only congratulations to Cody but to his wonderful Mom and Dad too. Cody is a very gifted baseball player and a outstanding young man. I had the pleasure of watching him play quite a bit this summer, and really enjoyed seeing him run the bases and playing the game. He will do very well at Ball State and they were very smart to sign him now, instead of waiting. Again congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Elliott and Cody.....good luck, and it will be impossible for Theoldguy to root against you next baseball season.....

Had the pleasure of watching Cody play several times during the high school season and again during the summer. What an outstanding young man on the ball field. He not only is a very good pitcher but is also an excellent outfielder and is a threat everytime he comes to the plate. What a thrill to watch this guy motor around the bases. Can't say enough good things about him. Congrats to him and his mom and dad. Well deserved:ylsuper: :ylsuper:

Congrats to Cody!! He is going to play in a very good baseball program and will be attending an excellent school.

It remains to be seen if he will excel as a pitcher or as a position player. It's nice that he has talent in both.
