Class 3A Preseason Rankings

10. Russellville

 

I had this really weird dream that Russellville was in the top 10. No way, No how that I can agree with this, they have alot to prove to me on the field

Maybe but you're going to be hard pressed to find another team or two in 3A to rank ahead of them. Anyone stick out to you TP?

I cant even tell you who most of the 3A teams are in the new classification yet so I really have no business making the posts that I did

Maybe Webster County. Maybe Butler County. Maybe a North Oldham team that returns 19 starters from an 0-10 team. Possibly West Carter. That's really about it. I'm like you. It's hard to rank a Russellville team in 3A when they have done so little in 1A recently, but there are just a lot of bad teams in 3A.

3a is the worst class in the new classification IMO.

Just wondering where or who did these rankings come from? I'm not sure why Belfry is ranked in front of Russell?

For many of the same reasons many of us felt that the old 2A was a much weaker class than it should have been.

I answered this in another one of the discussion threads, here it is again:

 

At the risk of sounding silly... we compile all the available information we can find on every football playing school and slot the teams. Next we (the staff) analyze the sequence and debate the rankings until we come up with our best "guess."

These Rankings are pretty accurate, Central is for sure the #1 team in the class. They return there entire team almost...SPEED SPEED SPEED.

 

Look for a great State title game between them and either Belfry or Russell.

Top of 3a looks better than old 2a ... 2a within the districts was very weak. Russell is playing much better schedule this year ... Most happy about that , games wil be games ...

Don't count Mason county out. They may win it all.
