There were phone callls, from Jaggers end, trust me (after the Henderson/Somerset situation), theres cell phone records to prove it.

 

It's time to move on though, it has been, and Mercer is well on there way to moving on. Im not saying who, but I believe there is something that is trying to be worked out with a team in Tennessee (knoxville area) to fill the 2nd week. All I've been trying to do is share SOME (and I mean some) of the true insight to what was actually going on with the whole Mercer/Somerset thing. It's done, it's over, it's been over. I dont think Somerset will miss a beat in the new 3A, best of luck!

That part I agree with.

If you call Mercer scoring 4 times to Somerset's 0, then ok:creepy: ?! Not to mention that Mercer had outscored them like that while Mercer was in the second week of tinkering with an option type offense. They hadnt even practiced the wishbone to that point, the offense that they ran 90% of the time in 2006.

 

Whoa Whoa Whoa... Mercer scored 2 times on us last year in the scrimmage and they we're both on bogus plays. Secondly, any team is going to be rusty during their first scrimmage, it don't matter if you have played together for 2 years or 2 weeks. Practicing all summer together is different than finally playing at a live level against another team. Third of all, John Cole didn't participate in this scrimmage and we all know that he was a viable part of our offense.

And with that, I think it is time we all moved on.
